Re: My Front Mount Intercooler

it should be angled up away from the core...since the intake mani sit up higher than where i'll be mounting the ic.

we'll see..i'll take it to the ty sometime this year and test fit it

Re: My Front Mount Intercooler

The core design looks like it will do very good job of passing all the air through the core! What are the dementions? will it sit up/down or sideways? Looks like the oval will point up and go above the core support? Are you making a custom core support? Any pic's mocked up on the truck?

its an 18" x 12" x 3.5" bar & plate core. The oval outlet is the top, and will face toward the motor. I'll have a custom front facing upper intake that uses stock throttle body and bolts to the stock syty lower intake.

Re: My Front Mount Intercooler

well i sorta test fitted it with the aluminum rad support. looks like it'll work out. I may need to massage the rad support...i'll know once i have the support installed on the truck.

and with the grill in front of it to see where the air will be going

Thinking i'll probably powdercoat the rad support too. Trying to figure out how much raw aluminum i want on my truck - torn between that and powdercoating. And i'm sure as hell not going to polish shit.

I'd powder coat the support, or atleast that's what I'm doing with mine. You got the I/C, that's plenty of raw al-u-min-e-um.
