built the downpipe today. still need the 4" v-band for the end. the pics are with the wheel turns all the way to the right. also need to buy a new wastegate. The 40mm i got isnt going to cut it. Going to get a 60mm JGS unit. gotta save some cash for that though.

Now that's a good looking DP.
Minimal bends & not many degrees bent in the bends.:tup:

Thanks. Once we built the stuff for the Ty, I knew I had to change the Sy to match. It was a real tight fit with the 4" tubing though.

i got my new wastegate and mounted it this weekend, its a 60mm JGS unit. The tube to go to it is 2.25" but i used 2.5 because thats what I had around. The thing is massive.

still buttoning things up..... Finished the new turbo inlet today. just need to get a new bigger filter. Hope the non engine bay air is better. Drove it the other day around the block. I have to get the exhaust to the rear, its way too loud since its pointing straight to the ground under the cab.

so we stole some fuel system stuff off the sy for the ty. with that being said it was time to upgrade the sy's fuel system. it will consist of a sumped stock tank, -10 line to the pump, an A1000 pump, -8 to stock truck rails, and -6 for the return. so far i have all of the lines and fittings, i just need the pump and filters. this is what i did yesterday.

holes for the sump

tacked it on

and welded it up

i will have to slightly mod the tank strap but it shouldn't be too big of a deal

Looks good. What did you do to the tank to make it safe to weld on.. I'm only asking in case I decided to sump mine someday.

I drained it completely, blew it out with as air compressor for about an hour, let it sit for afew days, and welded it up

Routed my cold air intake in the exact same spot, and if you think the exhaust is loud? Wait until the screw spools up to 10psi or more, that CIA is going be EFFIN loud!! :turbo: Sounds so B.A!!! It will do the name Syclone/Typhoon proud. MFs will running for cover.

its been a long time since my last update. finally made some time to work on this thing. Since we used the walbro out of this for the typhoon, I dropped some coin and got a real nice fuel pump setup. here are some pics of it.

all wired and plumbed.

it is -10 to the prefilter, -8 to the rail, and -6 return. I am still using stock trucks rails and stock truck regulator. At some point in the future I would like to get a carb style intake on it but not anytime soon. I know that the return is kinda small but Im hoping it wont be an issue, I didnt want to drop the extra money for -8 since I already had -6 from the previous setup.

I am also redoing the radiator hoses because we used parts of my old ones on the typhoon too. hopefully 2011 will be a good year for this

Wow, can believe I haven't updated this in so long.....

We in my true fashion, I have been scrambling to get this thing ready for NATS even though I have known I was going to be going for awhile. A few things I have finished up are finally installing my alkycontrol using a alcohol injection systems tank with the pump mounted under it, FINALLY finished the exhaust, and got the stuff in to make traction bars. So here are some pics.....

This is the rest of my exhaust. All 4" which dumps right before the axle. I finished it up early this afternoon and love the way it sounds compared to the last 5,000 miles I've driven running a straight 4" down pipe.

Below is what the inside of my mid steel down pipe looks like after 5,000 miles, rain or shine. If anyone cares

1311377525.jpg

And here is my tank. The pump mounts directly to the bottom which is super convenient even though I already had it mounted on the frame lol

1311404215.jpg

Like I said, this weekend I will be making traction bars for the Sy and the Ty. Here are the heims that I just got in to make them.

With 13 days till NATS, I need to stay focused on these things

The title has been like that for a long time now. As long as everything works right, I have the parts to run a 9. Just got to get it all working and not break anything.

Any future plans for a 4 link? I was going to build traction bars but figured thats half the parts it needs to be linked, and then add c\o's. I will just get my truck running, then link it on some sort of down time i am sure to have
