I think it was that the core wasn't effecient as the mccoy core.. plus the mccoy setup comes with two puller fans that mount to the rear of it.

another update this week.

finished up my wiring. prepped core support for custom front mount intercooler. purchased new 31x12x3 intercooler from XS power on ebay for $141shipped to my door. now i need to get some 3in piping for the intercooler. installed my new alpine head unit w/ipod interface. ipod has charging capabilties as i tied it into my cigarette lighter, hehe. here are some pics, of steering wheel, new stereo, and kb gauge cluster.

So what are all those switches going to be for on your gauge pod?

If thats the I/C I was looking at earlier, doesn't a "up to 10% drop in psi" worry you?
If you are running at 20psi that could be a 2psi loss because of design. Don't some gaurentee a less then .5% drop? It could be a different I/C but I thought thats what it said.

pole switch is for exhaust dump, red switch is tcc lockup, rest are unused right now.

Yeah that doesn't look like the same one. You said yours is 31" wide and the one on there is 24", is it not the same one? How did you get in for $141 shipped, did you win on bidding one?

If the opening is only 26" wide are you going to cut 5" out of it or???

core is 24 wide but total length is 31w/end tanks. i picked a intercooler this wide because stock radiactor is 32in wide and i need the piping to wrap around stock radiator.

yes, instead of the buy it now, i was high bidder for $114.

I dont know If I would have put the boost there. Good idea. I like the setup, but it would be hard to see the boost while you are racing. My old GTP had a heads-up display. Now that would be cool to do for the guages. Looking real good. Cant wait to hear it run.

So when will this truck be done? A friend of mine is moving to Cali and Im gonna be riding his bike there for him (hes paying me and giving me a place to stay for a week). Might have to hit you up and check this thing out if I for sure go out there.
