AS Far as i know he does not touch these truck no more! He sold all his stuff and is now strictly motorcycles. Your better off! What are you looking to do. I would never buy a motor from him if he was the last Sy/Ty Guy in the US.

Re: McCoy Motorports

OK Thanx for the heads up. I am just trying to find what shops specailize on our unique trucks. I have seen that there are quite a few people with ATR and Mccoy parts/work on there trucks. I have been looking and there arent alot of place out there that offer stuff for our trucks. Being that I am stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA and home is Orlando, FL looks like I'll be going to Mike Hood.

Re: McCoy Motorports

McCoy, ATR and KB are all gone. Either they are out of business or quit dealing with SyTy's. They haven't been around for a while. Sure you can still find some of their parts for sale every once in a while but there is alot better stuff out now. Check out our vendor's section for all the "greatest and latest" stuff.

Truckless. For now.
Re: McCoy Motorports

If you're looking for aftermarket SyTy parts, you're pretty much limited to the vendors listed in the Vendors Section.

Unlike the Buicks, LS cars, etc. SyTy's were extremely limited production, which means little to no aftermarket support. If you can't find what you want with a Vendor here, your best bet is to fabricate it yourself or at least have someone else fabricate it custom.

You also need to keep in mind that you can't just buy a bunch of go-fast part, bolt them on, and be instantly quicker like the cars I mentioned earlier. For whatever reason, each SyTy seems to be different than the next. They require patience and much time tuning to get the most out of any go-fast part. Like someone else posted in one of your other threads, forget the go-fast parts for now. Buy a truck, spend time with it for a while getting to know it, how to tune it, etc. Then you'll be ready to start modding

Re: McCoy Motorports

I have had my McCoy bowtie motor for over 5 years. Only problems I have had were caused by myself.

Not true, those are only the ones who paid to have their name there.

which inturn are the ones that have given back to the community.

Everyone has their own opinion on every vendor, good or bad, the individual needs to make their own decision on what vendor to use.

Again not true, I think you meant those are the one who inturn have given back to the WEBSITE. There are plenty of other vendors who have contributed for years who are not listed on this website.

Very true. I think for as small as the community is there is a pretty decent selection of vendors that covers just about every corner of the country.

we both know we are talking about rockford and to be honest, they have helped the community in the past.. due to some childish stuff and blah blah blah (its history lets not dig it up) he has no interest in being a part of the community.

If you haven't noticed, the website is the community, the mailing list is all but dead and other than friends talking to friends this is the means of communication. the ISTA is all but dead and regional clubs are all that is left.

Wasn't just talking about one shop rather a few places and or people who are not listed as vendors but contribute work and have since almost day one.

As far as the one particular you named, why do you assume? He/they are VERY interested and has talked about sponsoring an event this year. I think you do not have all the information :)

Also, this website is NOT the community. What about Hot August Nights in Reno.... all those people been around probably before you knew what a SyTy was but since they do not post they are not considered part of the community? What about the GLG (didn't have one this year) but there are people who attend that event every year who would never be caught dead posting on here. So they are not part of the community?

Try to keep an open mind on things and not dictate what is what, it might help.

Edit:: so you know I am not trying to be difficult, this site is what you make of it as a user and i just feel alienating does not help the cause. Anywho, i've said my peace dont want to clutter up the thread anymore.

Well you would think that in all these years you would have figured out how to use the ignore feature.

But for arguments sake, why does it make your brain hurt? What have i ever said that was not true? Can you give me one example? Don't like it, ignore me.
