Re: Map Sensors

Hey miles you should have emailed me about this, I just saw this post now.ha ha. It is in fact an electric boost gauge auto meter pro comp ultra lite. I had that gauge kicking around so I decided to throw it in that ty last spring. Yes the map sensor on the firewall was only for that gauge so make sure the same one is still connected to it and it should work fine,( the map with velcro on it). Yes it looks exactly like a gm 3bar as I am pretty sure it is because that gauge reads up to 30 psi. I believe you can set a little red light to come on when the gauge hits your desired boost setting, I think it also has a max recall button on it too. I had no problems with it, matched data master when I did tests with it. Miles I do have an exact match mechanical boost gauge in my garage I am not using and I can send it to you if need be. It is out of my other ty I switched to es style auto meter. Let me know.

Re: Map Sensors

Hi Evan - I thought you would never show up on here..... Yes, PLEASE send it to me. Tell me what you want for it. I can give you the money for shipping on that too. I never heard back from you on the $20 for shipping the exhaust tip so I figured you were out working for a while. The gauge did appear to be accurate before I mistakingly swapped the wrong sensor out. The one I took off is gone so I must assume it was a 2 bar because it still reads "0" when the key is on. I almost have Ashley convinced I need to get Datamaster (almost) so I can confirm the boost being shown is correct. You saved the day again, Evan.....

Re: Map Sensors

Wow....map sensor hell!

I found the sensor originally on the firewall (boost gauge only) and hooked it up. Now the pillar boost gauge is showing "-18" vacuum at idle, "0" with the key on. Looks good. I did a quick internet search for the number found on it and nothing. The only number I saw on it was "1006H01". I have no clue what it is. I will look into it more later tonight.
