I was able to incorporate the angle bent where the cable passes through the bracket to give some relief to the cable:

but i have some BAD news too. I took these immediately to the powdercoater once i picked them up....only to find out that the powdercoated is closing its doors and going out of business - and accepting no new business. So now i have to located a new powdercoating shop that can do the same quality of work for the same low price. :tdown:

If anyone involved in the group buy does NOT want their brackets powdercoated...let me know and i'll ship out your brackets as is. Otherwise, please bear with me as i get us past this small snafu.

So I am guessing that the cable issue has been resolved and do work on a Sy? If so, I will take one... :tup:

i have the cables that supposedly work - although MRKING wasn't able to make them work. Maybe we can try to throw a set on a sy at homecoming next weekend and find out for sure.

i wasn't in on the original gp and cant make it to homecoming, but would like a set of cables/brackets if you would ship them, and i don't need them powder coated either..
let me know if you have extra's, how much, and were to sent the money :myclone:

after homecoming i'll take orders for the leftovers. I'll post here with how many sets are available. :tup:

fyi...i'll be offering these as an in stock renzfab part once the group buy is mended...so don't worry if it seems like there won't be enough brackets to go around.

Update: Back from the powdercoater and READY TO SHIP!!

I think they came out pretty nice!

I made 35 sets for the first run. 14 are spoken for through the group buy....so that means i'll have about 20 sets for sale. Once i get these 14 sets shipped this week, i'll figure out a price structure for the remaining sets. I'll also be figuring out whats up with the brake cables after i get everyone what they're owed.

I don't have a final price yet, nor am i sure if the brake cables i have work for sy, ty, both, or neither. After i get the group buy people taken care of i'll address everyone else. :tup:

I just bought a set of the brakes for mockup...so i'll be able to get the cable situation figured out in the next few weeks. Hopefully i'm moving my truck to a wrenchable location very soon...so the first thing i'll do is put the brakes on and see how the cables work out. Bare minimum the clevis will have to be opened up on them a little to fit over the ebrake arm of the caliper backing plate (according to MRKING).

Don't worry...i'll take lots of pics and keep everyone privvy to my snails pace on this project. Things take long when you're doing everying in groups of 50. :lol:

i got the cables from HRV6 and the brackets from you. i don't see how HRv6's cables will work; they're just too short. does anyone have any installed pics on their syclone?
