well i didn't know that the clevise had to be opened up at all...and i don't remember reading that anywhere. I guess i'll open them all up so they work. I'll have to buy a caliper to do so.

MRKING - do you have a pic of the bracket installed? How does the angle look for everything? If its correct i'll go ahead and make a big batch of brackets.

I think I have a spare caliper renz.

I went out for some pics and would have to argue that this cable fits no syclones . I was looking forward to installing these but couldnt figure them out any which way. I will also check the ty later with pics as well , but for now ...
Hits on the small end and at the hump it gets bigger . Should work with some dremel action .

Bracket puts the cable at a good angle
IMG_3162.jpg

Maybe with a twist you would have it perfectly , but I dont feel its a must do .
IMG_3161.jpg

Cables are side by side the whole way
IMG_3159.jpg

Unless you wound the cable up to fit this clip in the hole , the shielded portion is too long
IMG_3156.jpg

The cable itself has along way to go until the connection
IMG_3157.jpg

Even on the other side , the unshielded cable portion has to have some good length.

I'll send everything back to you mike , Im not doing discs on the ty even if they were to fit one .

based on that pic, i think the design/cable angle are good. Does anyone involved in the group buy have any issue with the look/function of this bracket?

Thanks for taking pics Mike. Pretty soon we'll need our own courier service.

Renz, Do you know a time when you will be able to put a (working) set together? Because I am starting to get my things together for a full brake system upgrade.

vise, press brake...its all the same

either way, i'm not physically capable of bending these things. I'm pretty useless... moreso than usual :rotf: My current brake can't handle 1/8" steel though, so i have to make a trip to the local sheet metal shop. That'll be my morning journey tomorrow. If all goes well they'll all be bent by monday, and then off to the powdercoater immediately - then i'll ship em out ASAP, and also should have some for sale at Homecoming.

Re: LS1 Ebrake kits...New GP

Dropped the brackets off to be bent....lucked out and the guy has time to do them immediately. So they should be done by lunchtime...then i can run them directly to the powdercoater today.

Oh..the place is a father & son operation, coupla clowns and I fit right in and typically end up bs'ing for 30mins every time i walk in there. Today the father, prolly 65yrs old or so, took notice to the STi and was standing next to it staring at it. I yell at him to stop staring at my car....and he turns to me and blurts out "That thing looks like a sex machine!" :rotf:

Re: LS1 Ebrake kits...New GP

I'll be bringing all the brake cables i have to homecoming...and the spare ebrake brackets that i made to sell. I'm hoping to get a ls1 caliper this weekend so that i can make all the brake cables work for them...so they're a simple bolt on affair.

I don't know what the final price will be yet for the people not involved in the group buy. I hope to know that later today.
