On a side note... I just bought another SHO. This one is very close to stock and will stay that way. It has intake and exhaust upgrades.... Possibly suspension too!

Just thought I'd share:D

Sorry guys, I just got back from Kansas City picking up the new car. Then I picked up a junk yard motor for it as this one has a hole in a piston. This coming weekend, I'll be installing the motor in the white SHO. The '92 is actually in Ft. Collins right now as that's where I'll be doing the work.

Tell me more about the highschool drags....

Sounds like you mistyped.....13.3, and hoping for a 13.8? You probably mean 14.3 @ 95.

1.9 60' is good, maybe a little slow on the big end.

Do you have the stock fuel pump? I'd bet $5 you do based on that 60' vs mph.

Do you have datamaster?
What is the block learn multiplier/fuel trim cell the PCM using at?

128 is neutral
Less than 128 the AFR is rich (need less fuel pressure)
More than 128 the AFR is lean (needs more fuel pressure)

maybe we can meet half way. Its kinda odd though that the original poster seems to be m.i.a. .

Hey, if you or anyone else is still interested in running, I'm down. Although I must add I've more than doubled the output of the motor. The number below was on about 11 PSI, but I'm now running 14 PSI.

Nice to see that you are still alive a well ! I just helped my older brother set up a new set of struts for his other SHO this weekend. All I have to say is a MOOG spring compressor is DEFINATELY the way to go when working with struts! Looking pretty sharp :D!

Re: Lil boy in a SHO with a big mouth......

I have not run at the track yet... I may next weekend, but I'm taking the car on a canyon cruise with a local car club this weekend. I've got a few good videos of the car if interested.

Heh... I hear you on the gas... This car burns gas like a Lamborghini now... It's cheaper for performance parts than gas now!

Good to hear from you again too! I've got the task of replacing the springs and struts on my daily SHO as soon as I get the motivation. I've got everything but the mounts. How's your ride doing?

Whew!!! Just read all seven pages and have reached this conclusion; one is scared of the other and the other is glad of it :). My $$ is on Mike (just cause he is a cool person). Glad he stepped up and is willing to represent with his stock Ty. Jaz, if you're ever passing through Nashville, give us a shout. If your car is as clean as your engine, I'd like to check it out!

Re: Lil boy in a SHO with a big mouth......

I may be in that area soon, but not likely with my car. I somewhat know a few people out there that have a show called Extreme 4x4's.

If you want to check out the car... just click the link... http://members.cardomain.com/yamahasho

At this point, it's just s friendly race between some locals. I don't think I'll hear from the original poster that posted this like a year ago.
thanks,

Re: Lil boy in a SHO with a big mouth......

Not too bad, I got a set of drag radials mounted up last month to try and better my best ET but it didn't happen :(. At least I 60 footed 1.6 vs 1.7 on my old worn out BFGoodrich TA's :). I am going back to the track next week to try again. Hopefully with cooler air, better traction (track permitting of course ;)) and a little more tweaking a low 12 pass will happen. I would love to be able to say that I ran a low 12 with stock turbo and no alky...

My brother ordered a TON of stuff from Joshua Teixeira @shonutperformance. With his son's help, he was going to fix up his black 93 and give it to him. However, that fell through and he is going to sell it to his bud/coworker now. If I had the extra moolah laying around, I would buy it. His '94 opal frost is pretty sweet (for a non black car that is  ). That's his baby now and rightly so as it is in much better shape than the 93 is. He's going to get the intake extrude honed and upgrade to a bigger throttle body in the near future. The intake is going to get powdercoated as well.

For those who aren't very familiar with what a SHO is capable of from a dig AWD owns (no surprise). However from a roll if you're still running stock turbo, you very well might get a good look at the back of a taurus .
