I agree you have handled this more than professionally and you will gain more respect acting mature and professional than mouthy and arrogant anyday.
The old saying there are 2 sides to every story applies to every street race I have ever seen, heard, been told, or even witnessed video of.
Its really a simple psychology of the typical person geniunely thinking what they have is the best. This goes for cars, computers, houses, women, and so forth.
Both of these guys' stories could be way off, and honestly I could care less either way, but its all in how you are perceived.
This board is as bad as any of them, not as bad as most.
Just gotta take it with a grain of salt and move on.
We are known for busting up the ones who Ebay SyTys without knowing what they are selling and its almost funny to see syty.net in the persons description of their auction. ie: "item relisted because those A-Holes at syty.net who told me this is not a Typhoon exhaust manifold..."
So its not uncommon to get lumped alltogether as one big asshole. :wink:

Ok but i feel that most syty owners have some sort of intillegence, we know what we have in our sytys, i myself know just about every car ever made, and what its capable of doing, iit just pisses me off when peeps mouth off at sytys without doing any type of research or are just ignorant and dont want to litsen to anybody but themsleves....ie ricers....

Hello everybody, I am Jason, the "kid" in this whole story. I am also a moderator on the SHO forum and I go by the user name "yamahaSHO". Due to e-mail difficulties, I had to register under a different user name.
Chris, you did an excellent job in portraying the majority of the SHO owners that I have met(which is a lot). Thank you for clearing things up and extending a hand to other car enthusiasts. Anyone is welcome to the SHOforum, we just ask that you keep in civil.
I'd like to go on record and say that I know very well what a SyTy is and have LOTS of respect for them. They are awesome vehicles and as Chris pointed out earlier, I am a car enthusiast.
Instead of picking apart the irony of the orginal post, I am letting the original poster know that I would love to race him on video. I'll even go from dig so we can both start from our vehicles strong points. I know what AWD + torque will do, that is why we never raced from a stop in the first place. I'd like for him to run the same exact set up as he did that day(never know, he could have a boost controller) as I will do the same with my programming. If he wants to add mods, that's fine as long as I get a stock run with him.
Also, I am sure if the thread starter read my story, he'll find it pretty accurate. Do I want to get into a flame war, no.
As stated above, I would love to race you again on video. Maybe after that, we can sit around and BS about cars, etc... I'd like to think you are nicer than you originally presented yourself as(in person and post). Also, if you are a car enthusiast like Chris and I are, we would like to invite you to a Colorado SHO/CSVT Club meeting, maybe you'll see an SHO or Contour SVT you like

Sounds like quite a perdiciment. Proof is in the practice so set this up soon. I feel the Ty against the SHO after seeing his mods would be a good equal race. As for that one guys comment of "I got beat by a Taurus???", does he not realize SyTy's have that too. If not worse. We're just Blazers! :lol: I like SHO's but I like Ty's 10 times better. So go Ty. Hopefully you guys don't have to throw punches to settle it. Good to see someone so mature and respectful coming to our board to represent the SHO forum. Good luck guys and I hope this can be settled maturely.

ahh about time i chimmed in on this.. :lol:
now i did not mean to start any drama or flamming, i simply wanted to find out who the B.S.er is cause i personally know flyntyphoon69, i have delt with him in buisness many times and trusted him with my parts, truck (a few times) and over $1000.00 in hand. I also know him as a friend and know that he would not direspect some ones car nor cuss out some one on the street. And he is not one to pick a race on the street.
Jason: I did not mean to offend you or start a bitch fight and bring you into it, i simply asked a fellow member of D.R. if that was him, but he told me it was you and from there i found your post. From what i read and have experinced you are both humble and respectable people. 8)

Ahhh the good old SHO, I had one the same time I had my sy, and for kicks we "my mechanic and I'" took my sho that was bone stock and me with my syclone out on the 126 freeway late at night, it's nice and dead at night, and it's straight ahead. Well my mechanic gets on it at 50, I was lined up to the rear right of him and punched it also, well my sy crept slowly on by the SHO, and my mechanic said ehhh yeah a little bit faster, and this was a SHO that was running tiitts, no doubt about it. Fresh tune up by the SHO SHOP in S. California. My truck finished earlier at pamona with a 13.2 with chip and air cleaner.
Now after I put on the bigger turbo fuel injectors, dfi tunneing, with the stock heads mind you and block we got out on the same freeway and I lined up to his (my sho's) right rear corner, he punches it then I punch it at 50mph again, after the turbo lag is gone I then just blow by the SHO that time! my mechanic was laughing his ass off.
Just thought I would share my little experiment with you all.
Oh.. now a new engine is in the truck, check out my home page to see it, it's perty...lol

Nice looking SHO Jason 8) ! My older bro has two of them and I helped him with his 60K overhaul last summer we also put on an intake that he had powdercoated... I have as much fun riding in his car as he has riding in my syclone. The look on people's faces when they get spanked by a four door sedan just as funny when it's by a 13 year old pick-em up truck :lol: ! Hope to get one myself some day. Nice to see another enthusiast represented without being a jerk .
.Will do! The original poster still has not gotten back with me... Oh well... There is a guy in springs that will race. He seems cool, so I'm sure we can find other stuff to do as well. We'll keep you posted on the date. Chris had a problem happen yesterday and he's really needing some help right now. Let us get this situation figured out and we'll know more.

Hey Jason its the guy from the springs, ill be at PMI friday night at about 6 or 8. My wife wants to go and race too . But just so you know my TY has a stisker on the windshield that says TYPHOON in red letters and i have red parking and side marker lights ( last time due to ticket-misdemeanor now). We look forward to seeing you guys there.
