Lightning boy and Corvette boy

I pulled up in the gas station today next to a Lightning,seen a C6 Vert up next to the store.

When I come out,Vette boy has pulled up next to my Ty and is talking to Lightning boy.

I get in my truck,fire it up,and they paid me absolutely no attention.

I have loved these trucks since their debut in 91 & 92...fast forward to now and I finally have one. My passion for these things is so great that I just stupidly assume that EVERYONE knows how badass they are....it almost pisses me off when no one knows what they are. Hell, my only stop-light challenge was by my wife in her sky-redline.

Since I got my Ty I have been greeted with, "why did you you buy that old blazer?" so many effin times I got tired of counting.

Only 3 people...JUST THREE PEOPLE have known what it is. 2 mechanics and one guy at my work. I got so excited I almost shat myself talking about it!

This thread reminds me of something that happened the other day. Theres a guy at church who has a beautiful new blue Z06. Ive talked to him about his car several times and he is a super cool guy. Well, I drove the Sy to church the other day and he stopped me and said "I thought you said you just had a old S-10, I didnt know you were talking about a Syclone! I love those things!" When I told him about our Typhoon he got all excited. I thought it was cool to get props from a "vette guy" because most of them are just clueless.

Nothing wrong with lightnings!!!!

I actually get a lot more people that know more about the syclone then I do the lightning.
Most of the guys just tell me I have a clean truck when they see the Lightning and how much it cost me to get the exhaust to come out the side.

The thing I get with the syclone usually is If im willing to sell it. Almost every time I park it, I will walk up to it and there will be a note on the windshield with their name and number asking me to sell it, So i call htem up and say sure.... For 25k and then they say whoaaa way out of my reach.

I get a ton of props from the Lightning guys though when any of them stop by and see the Syclone.
In fact there is a thread on svtperformance about syclones and its got nothing but "omg those are so badass" and " i would trade my wife in a heartbeat for one"
