FWIW...

As previously mentioned, the OF is behind the headlight and under the airbox. Fairly hidden, especially if you've never worked on an old 4wd S-Series.

The inspection cover is held on with 4 bolts, and IIRC there are two drilled and tapped holes closer to the oil pan for support bars used on other GM products.

Calling out board members is never a good thing, as are keyboard battles. Seems like more and more threads end up like this. It's a shame because the longtime members who have extensive knowledge won't want to deal with this crap, so they won't post.
