Please select option 2 if you own the tow rig. Option 3 if you're renting a tow rig.

G'damn...those trucks are sweet.

Re: How ya gettin' there?

With 12 responses, it's already 2 "others' for each SyTy. These others could be towcars pulling a Syty, but these SyTys don't show as the total number of SyTys attending.

You should have included a "towing the SyTy with something else" category. This poll shows the SyTy Nats are shaping up to be a gathering of "others" with SyTys being out-numbered 2 to 1.

I hope the ratio changes as more attendees check-in. Right now, it doesn't look like enough peeps are bringing a SyTy to interest me in making the 4,500 mile, $1,500 trip. Sorry, just the way I feel. I'll be leaving tonight and be gone for a week. I'll be interested to see how this poll shapes up upon my return.

Dave,
don't base too much off of a single day of a single poll. There are a lot of people in this thread and others that have committed to coming to nats, but haven't yet registered. I'm working on reminding all these slackers register to help give the peeps like yourself make your decision to come more obvious/easy.

Re: How ya gettin' there?

also...fyi...of the 34 registrations, 26 people have responded that they are bringing a truck. So right now, the 'other' cars do not outweigh the sytys whatsoever.

Re: How ya gettin' there?

I plan on towing my typhoon with my tahoe the only thing that is holding me up to make a decision is the long 14 hour drive. My wife and kids want to come but i dont know if i will loose my mind driving the entire time worrying about the typhoon and at the same time hearing my kids say DAD ARE WE THERE YET!!! HAHAHA ;)

it is well worth it, if you can caravan with someone else from our area it makes the drive just that much better and go by that much faster.. its one of those things whether you are driving one or following one you just stare at it with a smile on your face and enjoy the drive.

personally i'm leaving thursday night, which means i should show up friday morning, bright and early.

You're absolutely right. I went back to edit it and it doesn't allow it.

Based on Mike's information, this poll may be a little confusing/misleading. I certainly agree that if there are not a lot of trucks, fewer people would be motivated to go...even semi-old-timers like Dave and I. But the poll gives information that's contradictory to registrations.

One of the reasons for the poll was to see how many people are actually driving their trucks...because without a tow vehicle, I'm struggling with the decision to drive mine (and I'm typically an anti-mileage nutjob). So, I'm not sure and looking for reasons to decide one way or another.

That being said, and due to the potential confusion, I'm all for locking/removing this poll and will rely on sytynats.com to relay the information regarding how many trucks will be there.

Re: How ya gettin' there?

I am debating about driving my truck and also towing the trailer empty....just because.

Or let my dad drive my truck while I tow the trailer.

130miles one way, long drive.
