I see what you are saying about the black part. I wont be able to go chrome with it, but I could do a bright silver...that make it better? I dont think I can paint the heat shield however, thats a high temp paint, may discolor from the heat.

As far as the beam pattern mounted, look at the first picture, then remove roughly the back half of the ground light, and that would be what you get... I know its unscientific, but I just dont have a truck to mount it to.

I would be willing to do this though, if someone didnt like the beam pattern once installed, money back guarentee, minus shipping.

Coloring the ring would help, What I was referring to though was actually making a fake reflector to attach there and hide the housing behind. Something lke:

Where the yellow lines are the existing internal reflector of the housing and the grey lines represent a shield (aluminum or something like that) which makes the interior of the lamp uniform and hides the HID housing (if also making it shallower, but that is trivial)

Another note, I would be more than willing to offer my truck as a guinea pig for testing the lights as compared to my current SilverStars

Re: HID head light conversion interest?

You guy are spending too much time on this hid conversion kits all you need is a simple bolt on kit. As I mentioned before the bulb will make a HUGE difference with the shield on it. Those lamps with the projectors are cheaply made I had one and tried it out I tossed it in the trash after I seen the quality on it. And plus that lamp little projector don't do much anyways because the whole lamp will still light up. That is just my 2 cents. :)

Re: HID head light conversion interest?

I can still do these hid conversion kits if I still see interest in it. But need to know a few days because the hid factory in china will close in less than 5 days from now.

The kit will be $250 shipped and $300 shipped for the H4 H/L or they call bi-xenon (same one ryan has). The lamps I included no is "DOT" approved.

I have updated my hid kits with a newer "unique" longer lasting smaller hid ballast. My bulbs are still one of the best xenon bulbs in the market now. So my kits are not those cheap $99 hid kits sold on e-bay.
