they are good, if you are gonna do it get longtubes they really help with torque,

Coated will last longer get long tubes custom made y pipe and 2.5 exhaust

Make sure that the headers you get have enough room for the knock sensor to clear on the left head. The previous owner of my truck installed Headman headers on my truck & the knock sensor will not fit at all. It was just left out. This is one of the many reasons I have found that my truck runs like poo.

Relocate that sensor. Or build a bracket so that it can still mount on the head. That engine noise will travel through anything securely attached to the block so you can be somewhat creative if necessary...
Your ECM is doing a check(advancing timing and looking for knock). Once it fails that check you go in limp-home-mode with severely reduced power...

Were they put on a SGT? and is there a spot already for the O2 Sensor in the header?

I am going to put back the factory exhaust manifolds as soon as I find a nice set. Doing this will also eliminate some other problems I am having.

I have a set of (very similar, to the Hedman) Sanderson headers for my clone... (same ones are currently installed on the 1992 LT1, now- but they have corroded to the point, that they're LEAKING, bad enough- I'm afraid to drive it, until we install the new set) That's awesome you sand blast them and repaint them, to ensure that doesn't happen.SIZE="1"] (do you do the sand blasting yourself? If so, that's cool- wish I had one of those, ha)[/SIZE]
I would do that, but (obviously) the motor-mounts are all custom and the way the V8 is sorta crammed in my Tyclone, I don't want to have to remove them every 4 years like, due them being installed on such a different application.
What do you guys recommend for coating headers.. ? Like, the BEST way.. to know they will last... for sure. Jet-Coating ?
91GT- you mentioned Ti-Tech Coating...? How much do you suppose that would run me to have the steel Sanderson one I have now (part # CS11-4x4) coated ? What sucks is… the “coated” version, directly from Sanderson is only about $100-$150 more. Why do I have the feeling I am going to pay a lot more than that to have them coated?
