OK.....this is the exact mufler that i am planning on putting on my typhoon. Mine will sound similar to the 350Z but alot deeper (i know this because a kid around town has one on his 4.3 S-Dime).

as far as the dump tube goes.....i dont understand why to even run exaust if i have one. If there is a dump tube right after the turbo then no exaust will even go threw the exaust.

Alright, the big, huge difference between that muffler and ones made for our trucks is that that one you've posted. Gets bolted on at the very end of the exhaust. Our mufflers are up infront of the rear axle. You can run 5" piping all the way back to the tailgate, but its not going to look good, nore is it going to be cheap. And your regualr buddy with a 4.3 S-Dimeroll: ) isnt what you have under the hood. The turbo's going to make a different sound then a regular 4.3. If you want the sound of a 350, why didnt you get one?

The cutout is farther down on the DP, not just right after the turbo. It still cause's enough back pressure to spool the turbo as well as freeing up the exhaust. Some/most DP's have a provision for a cutout. And you can ride around with out exhaust on sure, but your either going to get tired of how loud it is, or the local police department will.

my plans are to run 3" all the way back to that muffler. there is no way i would run 5" all the way back.....there is no need for a system that large. and i did check all the links that have been posted up. i just thought that with a dump tube that u couldn't close it off. and as far as sounding like a 350.....i dont want it to sound like that....i just want something different. i like the looks and sound of that setup and it will look nothing like that pic that u guys posted up. That pic was pretty gay!!!!

My main concern with the muffler you want to use would be what was stated above, where and how to mount it since it has an exhaust tip inter graded into it.. Our trucks don't normally have mufflers mounted so close to the cladding or rear bumper.

i would mount it just as it is in the advertisement. like the pic of the evo8 it would be mounted slightly at an up angle and pointing slightly to the passenger side of the rear. i am putting a regular s-10 roll pan on the rear and will mold the muffler into it.

You guys on this forum call an open down pipe a "dump tube".

I have always heard and referred to a dump tube as the exhaust piping that is attached to an external waste gate. This piping is usually dumped directly beneath the vehicle and not into the remainder of the exhaust system.

oh well....i think im just gona shit can the whole idea and run duals bck to the rear diff. then dump them straight down to the ground. It should sound pretty good that way.
