Re: EGR block off plate project

Mike,
$40 for US, would you take $45 for shipping to the UK? Do you need a gasket with this?
Thanks,
Mark
My terms are $40 shipped, I will cover the additional shipping costs to help out an owner "across the pond"
. Besides after you pay for customs, you would probably have the most expensive block off plate out there
.
I fabricated my plates so that
NO gasket is required. Most of the cheap plates that are out there are made out of extruded aluminum which is
NOT flat. To get it flat, it
MUST be machined. The side that you see isn't important but the side that bolts up to the intake had better be dead nuts flat or it
WILL leak. My plates are made one at a time and I don't use "cheap" aluminum. The material that I use is the exact same material that we use at work to make molds for
BIG companies.

Sorry for the late reply. Quick question - If I were to buff the intake, could i buff the standard size and get away with it since the intake will be losing size? or should i just go with the oversized?
I would just cut you one slightly oversized just to play it safe. You have to remember that the intake is a cast part so, some variation can't be helped. It is important t note that if I cut you one that is oversized, you will have to
SAND it to make it match the intake like the the pic below:
