are we now adding more rules into the 8 second pass.

so now you have to drive the truck to the track and home to be the king.

Granted Roberts trucks is awesome and i commend him for all of his hard work.

But a low 8 second pass is an 8 second pass no mater how the truck is set up.

sorry to have confused U, I´m not the one to set rules here..

BUT I do admire a car thats run 8, 9 or low 10 even high 11 (thats depends on witch car it is) and still in street legal form and still RUNS the streets with no problems than a RACE car that runs the same..its easyer to build a car for one purpouse than for multi purpouse..

But this could bee the Swedes way of thinki´n,
Because to still have a altered street legal car in Sweden that runs low 10 is DIFFICULT because the yearly inspections and so (I know of fast cars thats changing the engine 2´se a year just for this)

and to have a 9 sec car without no more mods than turning down ignition, boosts or so just for the inspections is almost IMPOSSIBLE (though manny guys claim they have these fast cars and there legal they never runs on the road annyhow.. )

To be around Robert, se him run 9,003 than a 8,98, then not even changing tires run it home, a 10- 12 mile length away is more than MOST guys,hardly non, running 9´s do..

Just ask Jeff, how that truck feels on the public roads direktly after a 9,18 run i KC (we did change the rear tires then) he was offered to DRIVE Roberts truck to the hotell, but kindly refused, I think his ride with Robert was an experience on the good side..

And Roberts truck IS legal in bouth Sweden and US, and runs on the roads..

I think the time runs out for Ed this coming monday, 12/12, thats should bee the season closing at ATCO..

And nothing is heard about succsess/failure from Hess side.

Ed IS one of the realy fast Sy, guys even though he never got the "breake thru" before the others, still he has done a realy tremendouse offer in time and money (as all others have not to mention) only thing has been,
he has adverticed progress before he actualy did them....
But 9.18 IS FAST..

And he tryed some new ideas, like the 2 different gear sets in the axels and that to match the different in tire heights.. thats a bold move.. I still dont think thats gona work but he´s trying new idea´s. give him cred´s for that..

And If Im gona tease and push him in future??? YOU BET I want him to go 8 because thats gona raise our goal higher

Anders he has been 9.13 @ almost 151mph getting out of the throttle so he is there but as all of you fast people know its about getting all your power to the ground to move you threw the traps. Those who try to make in the 60' range have traction problems other use other means to make it go faster later down the track.

I think that those poeple are drawing out a plan for next year which will be going into the lower 8 sec bracket.

No offense to you Anders but i don't call my truck an 11 sec truck until i can put it on paper atleast 3 tiimes. I have gone 11.9 once, but on 13lbs of boost right now that is not bad. i run consistant 12.0's @ the track.

Ok, back to the nats then,

If Bully and his crew did´nt do as they did.. (end of that now) Then Robert have had some more runs to make below the 10 seconds limit that was forced upon us..

then U have seen the first 8 amongst Sy/Ty´s in US too, after the runs at Bowling Green and KCIR resulting in the best 9.006 manny that saw Roberts Truck agreed that "just one more and the 8 is there"

BUT to prove that we had to go over again, facing high cost AND the risk of som S.O.A.B. stoping us with some lousy exuse..

My guess is
NO 8 sec run with a Sy in US this year.... bet 5$ on it
Robert makes the first 8 run -07 with his Sy before Ed or someone els does in US.. bet 5$ on this to
And I further guess that in the end of -07 Robert have run depest down the 8 of all Sy´s

Now its your turn to Guess..

To bad we newer did meet at the Nat´s would been fun havín a beer and a chat,benchracing and exchange´s storys and ideas..

You know, it really is amazing the amount of "talk" here. This thread was started by you to stir the pot. Is there any good reason to do that? A little friendly ribbing (joking - if you dont understand the context) is fine, but it does not seem to be your purpose. The thread that was locked this morning is classic....what the hell are you trying to do? Do you believe that your Syclone is the fastest on the planet? Anyone who reads your posts would think that, even though the truck is not yours at all. You say in one breath that you respect any truck that can run a 9, 10, 11 second track time, yet be driven on the street. Then, you denegrate the ONLY competitor that came out to Nats to race you. When he got there, did YOU go introduce yourself to any one of his 'crew'? No - you were too big to do that. I, as well as my buddy, both came over and talked to both you and Robert before John even showed up. I thought that it was going to be a good weekend - I didn't think there was going to be much crap going on. I was wrong. You did not show any respect, even though respect was given. I remember John and his guys coming over to you in the hotel parking lot to talk for a few minutes. I thought that would smooth things over a bit, but that was wrong also. You continue to say that John was the reason you didnt get to run the truck more times at the track, but in reality, it wasn't John's fault at all. If the vehicle was correctly tech inspected, then you would have had nothing to worry about. This is old news, so I wont bring that back up.

While some people think Ed may be an asshole for not showing up to Nats, I can see why. Ed is accomplishing things while 90% of you dont. Spend less time pounding the keyboard with your internet bravado, and more time wrenching on your trucks. Enjoy the trucks for what they are, and enjoy the comraderie of the fellow truck owners when we can. As for this bullshit drama, quit it. It isn't doing anything more than piss people off. You may mean it in a joking manner Anders, but it is not coming over like that. Have you ever talked to Ed personally? Just internet chat? How about John? Do any of you think his truck is a joke? The guy brought his truck to Nats, raced it even though it was obviously hurt, made several 10-second passes missing and popping all the way down the track, blew both head gaskets, and what did he get in return? Scorn. How many people actually took the time to look - really look - at John's truck? How many things did you see that were different? Things you've never seen on any vehicle before? A combination that no one else is running. Did the knowledgeable members of our group go over to talk to John? Did you ask him any questions about why he did things a certain way? I would venture to say no.

Respect what he, and others, have done, and maybe they will respect you.

no we didnt get banned on our pass we messed up the cladding slowing down bc the shut down area was AWFUL so we didnt make another pass.

the new toy was so much fun! 8500 rpms and a trans brake! how could that not be fun! LOL

all i know is that all they do is street race it. they only go to the track to test. we detuned the truck when we sold it to them and first pass out the gate it went 6.19. thats really all i know except the fact that it wouldnt have made it 60 ft launching it on the street the way we did on the track!

i hate when you guys were here that i didnt get to come. i tried to contact several people when the nats was taking place but had no luck. maybe one day we can meet up and talk! i like talkin BS about these trucks and cars in general! LOL
