Hahaha, yes... Its off season here and I have to tease some one to keep the "heat" on :D

Miss U Matt, now Ed will have to take it all... :D

Serius now, Ed´s been telling how easy he would run 8 seconds et.. Now he have to prove that, not telling.

But I have my dubiose about that gear/tire mix..think that is going to hurt the performance

Amaisingly, :D Your on alot of board with your truck and info, but here on THE SyTy board where the intrest is more/totaly to Syclones like your´s, the info is, some how slow or not so informative..

Its the folks on THIS board that wants to know when a SyTy goes fast some where, and IF theres a new "record" been set, thats not strange that people is seartching the net for the things of their intrest? or?

I think the easy answer to this one is simply the fact that Ed knows most of the guys on godragracing since it's a local drag racing site plus who he doesn't know does know him or his truck. Plus Ed most likely shares info and normal convo on that board and not here because over here his threads always turn to shit because people always seem to pick him apart or claim that he's never done any of the work to his truck himself which if you were in that situation, im sure you wouldn't waste your time explaining yourself until there was something worth bragging about etc

that pretty well sums it up.

Anders and Nova67ss: what do YOUR truck run?

People on this board are so quick to slam someone else or to talk shit but not a single person who has talked crap can do what Ed has done.

So what if he came on here with a visor and defended it, its his truck and its his right.

Then someone has the nerve to ask why he will post on a local board and answer more questions than on this board? Well shit, take this thread as the answer why. I don't even know why Ed bothers on here anymore.

Like Ed or not there are plenty of us who can learn from his experience and trials with his truck, why burn a bridge?

So what if he asked alot of questions about how to run 11's. That is what the purpose of this site is isn't it?

So what if he tries to sell his truck to someone on ebay, its his truck and his money.

Well I finally picked up GMHTP on Saturday and it was an interesting read about your truck Ed. I personally cant wait to hear about you making an 8sec pass. Of course where you're at right now is pretty dam impressive as it stands.

With that said, good luck to you sir and please let us know as soon as you've accomplished your 8 second goal.

I myself have defended Ed at this forum, I dont disrespect him, BUT I still stands for my coments.

This was a comment when Robert did catch the 8...
THANK GOD IT WASN'T ED! We would have never heard the end of that.
Ive erased the name on this Quote abowe.

My responce to that is below.

hej man, be nice to Ed he has worked har to reatch the 8 himself to, as Hoover´s and Robert..

Think of all the money invested and be "beaten" when your so close as Matt has been, and Ed was ready to change the turbos to realy run "the beast".. how about the goal they tryed to reach?? gone with the wind..

I remember how Robert felt when Hoover run the 9.03 slips and even the 9.004 His mood was´nt ´high those days. and still we felt sad about the loss of Hoovers engine, yes that gave us the "play off seat" and we scored, but It could as easily happend to us..

I dont burn bridges, but its been realy hard for Robert to, to get answer from this comunity, and thats because hes one of 3-4 people in the leading edge.

This I do not no annything about, but the meaning IS to exchange ideas, but U have to give to get..

I have respect for those like you and the hoovers who do their own work and make things happen. I have none for those that open up their checkbook and buy it. trust me I know what it's like to spend the $ to make it go fast and lose motors along the way. I can't even begin to imagine how much I've spent and to build something like roberts truck and the hoovers dwarf mine. respect is to be earned not given.
This was another “jump” at Ed, my answer is below..

I can relate to your way of thinkin, yes I realy do. but when your in this game, theres allways things you dont be able to fix your self, and not all thats a gearheads have it in his hands..

theres 2-3 ways of doing things..

# 1.Do it mostly by your self. you will probably read alot and start to copy allready funktional cars then develop a skill and plan by yourself, ceeping cost as low as possibly and do 90% of all work and develop yourself..

# 2. Your intresded know what you wants (you allso have read all about it :D ) and you develop a plan, but your skill in craftsmanship maybee is in stockbroker not auto mecanics you earn lots of $ and pay a craftman to do 90 % of your plans for High costs..

# 3. You got som $ realy dont know what you wants or what you like, so you buy the first fast and fansy car you see and try from there..

The # 3 guy can develop to either a # 1 or a # 2 or totaly blow it and start a hoggfarm ;D

# 1 or # 2 is bouth responsible for develop a fast car, have a plan but does it i 2 different ways.. as I see it bouth diservs respect for their efforts..

:D

Sorry its a lithle mixed but Im not to good on computers.

Well first off sorry for the confusion on the name, thanks for clearing that up.

Second I have to disagree with you on this, there are plenty of people pushing the limits but they either been run off from ehre by the ingorance or just never bothered by the bs. I think that is being shown since there are so many "fast" truck coming out of the woodwork nowadays.

Now a little friendly competition is always a good thing, but we can't let it get to the point where the rest of the community has to suffer because someone doesn't want to share information because of the attitude that person gets from someone or the board in general.

I have sent Ed many a PM asking little questions here and there and he has always been very quick to respond with whatever he knows. Maybe that is because I show him the same respect I am given..... I dont know.

But to say you have to give to get is right on.... but that goes with attitude as well.

I just got my copy of GMHTP today!!! And I have a subscription!!! They somehow "forgot" to send me my copy....go figure.... I was wondering... Wouldn't there be room to gain by running dual intercooler cores (one for each turbo) and splicing them together near the TB? Imagine the one on there now, just cut in half. Could reduce pressure drop and lower temps, maybe making it possible to add a few more pounds of boost? Or would there be no gain and be just a big waste of time?

If you have (2) 1/2 gallon jugs of water , its still 1 gallon no matter how you look at it .

If you start pouring both of them at the same time, they'll finish way before a full 1 gallon will............

Re: Ed Hess at Atco..

My point being......That one intercooler has each side getting 20+ psi thrown at it and meeting in the middle, then exiting the same spot...... If each had its own intercooler then there should be less pressure drop and cooler air when it exits. If you look at the article, picture that intercooler split into two and instead of one exit coming out the top, picture two. Then gradually close the gap and splice the two together right before the TB. Thats how I would picture it being done.
