Ok we pulled the pin on stock boost control(sucks) and put a turbosmart boost tee on.
Boost would go up to 24psi then tapper down to 22.2psi. (turbo is maxed)
hp is 590 hp @4500 866lbs @3000rpm.

I dont understand. How is it your running wot 14* of total timing and when me and alex and...everyone else i know who is making power with E85 their timing is 30*+. Hav eyou ever tried to run more timing to see how it reacts? What to do you tune for timing wise for cruising around/idle? Am I just an idiot?

14* is on pump gas.
20* on E85
Every setup/engine is different. May not be doing anything wrong at all. The truck will tell you what you can get away with. That's why one tune does not fit all and custom tunes are proven to be better. The timing numbers I posted are WOT numbers. Could be cruising at 30deg if that's what you mean.

1000hp flywheel is more like 750 who...been there done that.

Its not
going to have to make some changes. 4l80e is a must to run that TQ.

I found a transmission place that a local transmission shop recomended. He said they are A+ transmissions. Prices are not too bad.

+1 for TH400. I got mine built locally cheaply, I had it over built(1200hp in a 3400 lb car) and its probably going to last me forever, and it with a built converter that seems to work great im under the 1500 dollar mark. Highways are limited to about 70 mph at 3200 rpm though

If your gonna drive it on the street alot 4L80e is the way to go. Not cheap though. If not a lot of street time go with the 400.

I went with a built 80e and will never look back. My build made 700+hp and 800+ftlbs and that tranny thinks its behind a 4 banger.:rotf: Seriously, I never even think about the trans when doing 15psi boost launches. It loves that s***.:tup:

Just do the 80E, rebuild with HD2 kit and a good stall/cooler if your on a budget.

Too bad we can't incorporate the GM flex sensor in to Code59.

We could but the flex sensor is $600 bux last I checked.. and seemed impractical. Maybe it has changed since then.

So I've been running E85 for four months now and I live in Colorado so cold start ups have been a little of a issue. Also I'm running 1000cc injecterdynamics injectors so MPG totally sucks I'm averaging around 8 to 10. Then there is the issue of finding a E85 station close enough before your run out. Its kind of like a scavenger hunt. I think overall the answer for me is going to go with octane on demand with duel tanks, like the system that Nelson Racing uses.

So is the 4l80e really just a tail shaft spine conversion and drive shaft/propshaft shortening and lengthening?

get a t-case adapter ring, and a 32 spline t case input shaft. crossmember moves back a bit then cut/ length shafts. Also a controller to run the trans.
