I just reinstalled mine with the last tranny pull. Kind of a pain because the 2nd last time I installed the tranny and propshaft before realizing I forgot the TC Inspection cover (which of course cannot be installed unless the propshaft is unbolted.)

The tranny and converter seemed to "whine" a lot more with the cover off.

Funny, I didn't take out the propshaft to get my cover on. Granted, I had to drop the Y-pipe, but otherwise I somehow fanagled it in there.:2cents:

Definitely over his tranny, I obsess, smother, rub my truck too much as it is, if it had a pink spot you'd probably never see or hear from me again :wave:

Don't pay any attention to Jeff. He's just excited his billet transbrake 80e is done. He wouldn't go pink though. What a homophobe.

Oh, the thread....

You don't need a cover as long as you don't run a solid trans mount. A solid trans mount will turn the housing of the trans into a structural component with no give and crack the case. Shouldn't be running a solid trans mount, but if you do, put the cover on to help the bellhousing area.
