DRAC reprogram to fix VSS

[GM tech]

Installed ZF-S6 6speed and need to reprogram the VSS signal to accept the new sensor signal...
The DRAC(digital radio adapter controller) is matched to the final drive ratio and converts the speed signal for the speedo/ecm. The manual says it can be reprogrammed for different gear ratios, but can it be programmed to accept my new signal?
Anyone know anything about these things????
