I'll second that.
By no means was my aim to trash any American car maker. However GM seems to be moving away from performance vehicles altogether, and that bothers me to no end. As I watch Dodge and the Oval continue to produce and BE profitable at it, I wonder why GM has decided not to be a competitor. We KNOW they can be, because we drive the cars and trucks that once made them competitors. "Vette, Camaro, Monte Carlo, Firebird, Trans Am, Grand Nat'l, Sy and Ty, the list of GM's past accomplishments is long and distinguished. But what comes next? Have the "Ricer's" and their huge aftermarket resources flooded the scene and pushed GM into making family cars and heavy duty trucks? A fad it may well be, but we've now lost the F-body series as a whole. No more IROC's or Z-28's. With the lone exception of my first car, A '79 Malibu w/a 454, everything I've ever owned came from the Shreveport plant.
I love GM, but I'm not sure how they feel about me.

dudes........no. 1 the books that feature syty's are not published by gmc. gmc publishes no books. all the books and magazines are done by independent publishers and writers just looking to make a buck on what they think theres a market that will buy it, most dont have experience on these vehicles, they just have whatever writer has enough experience or willingness to dig up the right info. the only way the right book will ever hit the market is if **WE** the very few owners put this info out ourselfs, think about this...out of all the millions of people out there, less than 2500 of us know anything about the existence of the vehicle. hell everyday people tell me theyve never seen one before...i get looks constantly. my friend is a publisher, maybe we should get together and publish our own complete collecters book on the syty's. I think i'll check to see what this will entail.

ALSO.........some one mentioned that they want no one to know about the sysy's in the earlier reply because he wants to keep the cost down? uh uh. uh uh. we are so silly..........THESE ARE COLLECTOR VEHICLES... there are fewer of these sports machines than just about any other domestic or import performance vehicle out there, AND WE SMOKE MOST OF THEM! it is ridiculous what most of us are willing to sell these things for. hell i see them in the auto trader for half of what they should be going for, we make clowns of ourselves because people see them in the trader for very little and think they must be a piece of $hit. we should have 30,000 stickers on them, collector vehicles go up with time not down fellas! i know that sux in case you ever want to buy another one in the future but dont sell the one you got then. these things cames out with a 28k sticker on them, my god what we're asking for them now will take 50 years to get the value back up to where is should be. their are fewer of ours than yenkos, steedas, callaways, etc......and those are not factory......ours our factory special vehicles.

anyhow thats it from me, whats my opinion mean anyhow.....
