Got 1000 hp?
What I have is a 1992 GMC Typhoon with 81,000 miles.
The engine was rebuilt and bored .030 over 12,000 miles ago with all the goodies. The 700r4 was beefed up and rebuilt 10,000 miles ago by the same company in NJ and I have receipts. Turbocharger has under 10,000 miles on it and it is Pt 62 or something like that, I'll have to look up the receipt
Previous owner had the Typhoon repainted white with orange pearl in it. The paint is awesome looking. I wish he had garaged it though because the paint could have been a perfect 10. 18" Chip Foose speedster staggered rims with NEW tires all around.
New:
Heater core
rebuilt rear axle with new seals, bearings, and axles...put back into specs shims wise.
Rebuilt front axle same as rear axle specs.
New water pump
New coolant temp sensor, ignition coil, ignition module, cap and rotor and knock sensor.
New ECU and spare ECU
Taylor battery box in rear with battery relocated to rear pass side with new Yellow top Optima yellow top battery.
Phil long chip with 50 lb/hr injectors and moates adapter and adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
Disc brake conversion in rear axle
I will also include my C5/C6 Vette front brake adapters I never got to using as well as some Edlebrock valve covers I did not get to installing.
Meth injection kit (LaBonte) not installed comes with truck-perfect if you don't want to run 100 octane but want to run 25 psi on 91 or 93 octane. I will also include 2 gallons of boost juice to go with it.
Truck runs great. I have taken it to NJ, PA, and NY from FL and it is my daily driver. I have not had it to the strip but the shop that built the engine and transmission claims it is good for 25+ PSI boost (I am only running 15 psi) and I can include their contact info and receipts. I would not hesitate to drive it across country right now. Previous owner had a stereo system in it with amps and a box...he removed it and it currently has an Alpine CD head unit but all the wiring is still intact to behind the rear seat.
Interior is a 8.5-9/10
Engine is 10/10
Paint is 8.5-9/10
Truck wins awards in every show I enter it into. It is extremely fast on the street and should easily run a mid 12 sec 1/4 mile as-is. I have not put in on the 1/4 mile, nor have I upped the boost as it is my daily driver and I never felt like beating it up if you know what I mean. Roof rack is shaved and it is lowered 2" with blisten shocks.
I know what the truck is worth and honestly $10,000 takes it, $4000 under BB value. I have more into it but planned to keep it for awhile- Clear title is in hand. No loans, no leins. Truck does have AC and it blows cold in the FL summer.
