Mr. No-Show T-Bone looks like weather is going to be our friend. Where are you?

With the partly cloudy sky, this should be the view you see out your windshield.

As it stands now....no. The title still isn't in on the Z06 and the kids want to try their ski's out on the lake this afternoon so I have to pilot the ship . The vette will be with me for a long time so there will be plenty of opportunities to school you boys. Sounds like the only one that wants some is Jeffery and he always has been a few cards short of a full deck from what Jimmy tells me. Have fun, be safe and post up some video of Jeff's 11.6 run so he can feel proud :rotf:.

I am taking a couple camcorders. I will get plenty of videos of all the runs. I wish you could have made it but I am sure we can get together again in a month or so once the weather cools down even more. I will be satisfied today with a 10.xx and I am sure I will get that without a problem. We will see. Have fun on the water today and be safe.

This news just in. Local average joe drag racer races his stock C6 Z06 at our local track this Wednesday. Stock tires, etc. His result? 11.0? Nope - 12.399 @ 119.80.

T-Bone I think your stock Z06 is about as likely to run low 11s on your first trip to the track, as your stock turbo Syclone is to run 12.20s..... ;)

This post (like all others) is worthless without pics. The fact he ran a 119.80 tells me a whole lot. 11.0 flat turns in a 129 MPH trap speed so his shifting could need refined for all we know!! Some stock Sy's run 14's so we go out and guage all the rest against the one that runs 14's or the hundreds that run 13's. Give me a break. Your argument makes as much sense as the Pentagon lobbyist trying to allocate funds for screen doors on submarines :).

I'll post a video when I go to the track to bring your blood pressure back down to reality since I see the Z06 really has you wired and FWIW, very little on my Syclone is stock. Maybe you will make the mistake one day and line up against either vehicle.....just make sure you have money in your wallet because I do expect to be paid when the dust settles for the lesson I will teach you!!!

Neither, although jeremy's stories to you on the phone were good. See what you TN guys get for NONE of you showing up. Guess probation officer didn't get the release permits out in time.

Will went 10.9, I went mid 11's several times. Both trucks came home with some work to be done.

I don't know were you got your info but you are way off. Bearings 2 Sy/TY V8 conversions 0.

Will ran a 10.92 @ 126 very low oil pressure afterwards put The LSX Sy on the trailer.

Jeffrey ran several mid 11's with improved 60's but lower trap speeds. A offpace 12.2 on the last pass and a slight noise from the engine bay put the Twin turbo V8 Typhoon on the trailer with a suspected spun rod bearing.

But they showed up!!!!!

Re: Bowling Green, KY - Beech Bend Dragstrip

Yes, had a nice time. The truck has never been to the track before with the LSx motor in it. I had planned on making about 5 runs and turn up the boost and timing all night as I started getting used to the new set-up. 1st run I left it along and ran the way it was without a change. 12 PSI and 13* total timing, street tires and pump gas. I already knew I had low oil pressure so I was really watching that. Sure enough, had between 20-30psi oil pressure and that was not good. The IAT's with the new water to air setup really sucks also. I made sure the pump was running but I believe the W2A is to small for my setup and I will be swapping it out for a A2A and ALKY injection :) The IAT's were 86* at the line, 153* 1/8 mile and 175* 1/4 mile ( 11 seconds later). That pass I ran an 11.003 @ 126 with a 1.81 - 60'.

I iced it up again and let it set for about 1 hr and turned up the boost a couple #'s. I don't think it even went up any :) that run I did a 2# launch and pulled a 1.62 - 60', 10.9x @ 125. I am sure it was due to the cooler weather seeing the sun was going down. The boost never came up any more that base 12#'s. I put it on the trailer and will be puling motor tomorrow and taking it back to machine shop for new bearings and checking all clearances for oil pressure issue. Better safe than sorry. I don't want to hurt the new motor and will get it back to the track here in the next couple weeks and get more video up. I will post up the videos of Jeff's and my truck in a little while.

All-n-all it was a very nice night. I am happy with a 10.9 on its very first time on the track with a new set-up.
