Spending $50,000 or more to beat a 1g blazer by a few tenths is obviously a much better investment :D :D

That was never my goal at the outset for buying the car since I can handle 90% of the trolls around here on my 2007 Yamaha R6. I spent the money because the Z06 is simply what I wanted. I have a whole lot more capabilities with it than simply going straight to 130. I kinda outgrew that thrill years ago.

In all reality you only have a close idea of what your car will run. Might be 11.3's, might be 11.7's......Knowing the capabilities of both (one from reviews, and the other from first hand experience) I can tell you it's a drivers race at this point. You both better be on your game if you expect to win.

......and it might be an 11.0 like a few others have churned out....with video proof.

Please keep in mind this is all in fun. Don't take anything to personally, we'll still drink a beer with you at the end of the day and laugh about the shenanigans!

1/2 of the pre-race is talking trash and 1/4 of a race is a mind game. I just try to stay on top of both and I think Jeff and I know each other well enough to not take too much seriously; especially on this forum.

I will put some $ on you not running 11.0's :) However, I do agree the Z06 is very impressive. If I was buying a newer Corvette, the Z06 would be the one I would buy.

T-bone, nice car, I have had 5 corvettes before making the mistake and buying the Syclone :D I would definitely own a C6 Z-06 in that sunset orange if I could

Jeff, quit talking smack ! ! !

You both have to beat me :p

I know last time I was there, the track was privately rented for SyTy's only (excepting the pizza delivery driver in his 22 sec. ride)

Is this with or without Chris's Left Foot?!?! I hear you broke into the 11's before you ever pulled the motor on that truck. Although the .7 second 60' might have been an indicator.

I'll bet dollars to donuts all 3 of you are within .5 of each other in ET. The MPH will be all over the place though.

Hey, you're not out of line trying to convince me. Although all I have to race is a 4cyl S10, or a 4cyl boat. Ironically both are about the same speed in the 1/4 mile competition. The S10 does handle the corners a lot better though!

Eeerily, that pic does resemble me but that foot is just plain nasty! Glasses are kinda outdated too but they will work. I am curious.....do you have a job???

Yes, once I saw that pic I knew it closely resembled you and had to post it.

Job yes. I get to build the guns that defends this fine country of ours.

Was just curious since you appear to have so much free time on your hands to make unprofitable contributions to this forum :). I figured you were either jobless or super proficient and I am glad to know it is the latter. What time is everyone meeting up next weekend at BG?

Track opens at 5, do we want to met for dinner before hand for some extra shit talking?

I think that's a great idea if Jimmy and Joe want to cruise up too. Maybe some other Nashville area guys will come. At this rate, we might end up with more trucks than the last Nats

Let me look around and we can find a place to met up earlier than track for some bench racing before hand. At least you can stand a chance of winning at the bench racing.

Throughout my short tenure in this life, one thing is blatantly clear.....those that talk the loudest have the least to back it up. Therefore, based on this thread, you are the least of my worries :). It is the silent warrior that in the end gains respect and whether on the bench OR on the track, you will be my puppet.

I sure wish that I didn't have to work that weekend. It looks like the 13th is going to be a fun day.

Seems to be a good place to meet up before the racing starts, what do you think? Its right off the Interstate and right on the way to the track. :p Looks like they have a nice menu.

The track gates open at 5pm so how about 4pm or so.
