What is the best engine management for the money out there. I hear a lot of people say the Big Stuff 3 is the best, many swear by the Code 59, but what would be the best if money wasn't an issue?

they are all basically the same accel invented aftermarket ECUs, fast and BS# pay royalties to accel whos gonna tune it? if you are having it tunder ask your tuner what he wants, also what motor? do you want sequential? trans controls? Nitrous controls?

I gotta call you for more info about the Big Stuff 3 Ralph, found a check laying around I never deposited, and have a little money to spend, figured I may as well update the TY and be done with it if I can. Call me when you get a chance, I don't wanna bother you at work.

Partially correct. John Meany invented aftermarket Fuel Injection controllers @ Purdue university and went to work for Accel, then Holley, then FAST, then started his own business Big Stuff3.:2cents:
Cost no object Big Stuff3 hands down!
Cost to ability Code59!.
BTW I have used FAST, BIG STuff3 & Code59! to tune vehicles before. All 3 are very good tuning platforms!

John worked at DFI when it was invented he tells people he invented it, just like he says he owns BS3 but those who know realize Harry from precision turbo is the $$$$$ and the owner of it

Thanks all for your input. I have a lot to think about as far as what to do. Hopefully figure something out soon. I would love to do the Code 59, but really don't trust myself with not blowing my engine up.

The guy tuning it wants to use tunerpro, and burn a custom chip, but he is having trouble getting a hold of his guy that knows more about the 4.3's He is more of a vette guy himself, and is treading lightly into SyTy territory.

Controls GM 4L80E/4L60E transmission (optional)
on the website. Would this be best if I planned on eventually swapping in a 4l80e?

I, along with a few others, have made the switch to BS3. The comment about using the system your tuner (or yourself) is most comfortable with is a very sound piece of advice. A mediocre EMS in the hands of someone knowledgeable is light-years better than the best EMS in the hands of an incompetent tuner.

Just because you go code 59 doesn't mean that you have to tune it your self.
Code 59 utilizes tuner pro to do the tuning, so this is starting to sound like it makes sense.

I use to run Motec, If you wanna have to keep paying for using their system yes.
I liked that it use to sit on my valve cover but no one wanted to touch it. Alot of turbo bike use it for racing.
Its kind of like Hp Tuners in you have to pay to use the system.

I can get you my bracket that we made to mount the BS3 in the stock Location, Give me a shout, I am usually good for chatting from 7pm til 10-11pm, Harry Anderson is in PA and can get your truck tuned without a problem. We have plenty of base files and diffrent cams configs from working through my truck.
I forgot what your number was, since i never saved it in my phone.

Even know code 58 and 59 work and there are some great tuners out there.Once you go to a good aftermarket system you will see the difference.
