Nope, neither.

Ryan's hasn't moved under its own power yet, Mike's isn't AWD.

McCoy had an AWD Ty do 11.teens, and Jeff Middaugh's has supposedly done 10s, but no timeslip.

Oops! I wasn't sure. The McCoy motored Ty is getting/might already have a bowtie motor. Those 11.3's were on the stock block.

There "supposedly" was an AWD Ty down in Woodburn Oregon that ran tens....... I personally never met the owner or saw it run though........ I tried contacting him and was willing to spend the day to go watch, but never got a response back from him.

Toooo bad, as I would have loved to see that!

Roland, what color was it? I remember seeing on the website that somone from NW had spent so much money on a Ty that seemed like it should have ran 10's. It was all black

people realized he was nothing special, just overpriced. No doubt the guy had some great ideas back in the day, but when you pay $30k for a motor and it runs 13s they get pissed.

Damn!!! Nobody in SoCal is going to forget my first pass with a 2.2 sixty foot. I have a even fire Stokes motor that costed 17K for parts and another 2k to install. It took like a year and I got impatient and went and picked the truck up untuned. The truck is still untuned after 5 years because of ME not Jim. Not because it does not have potential but because I have not done my home work. I lived in the Silicon Valley most of those untuned years and worked to much to do anything so the truck sat. I started messing with the DFI and couldnt get it to do what I wanted. Talked to BG and saw how well he was doing with Speedpro so now I have that. The truck is currently at Rockford Racecraft getting tuned, Al's suspension, a six point bar, painted, and other miscellaneous stuff. It ran 11.56 at 119 on 14psi when Guy first got the truck this year and played with the DFI a little. No numbers yet on speedpro.

So as the SoCal guys say now after Guy Lavy's accomplishments that it is all in the "tuning", I definately agree. I think BG proved it without using a dyno to.

So my point to this is that my Stokes motored Syclone is a turd because of me not because of Jim. People will be people though and mock where they must mock. Your entitled to your opinions.

Ron - the 2k was for building the motor, remove old put in new, and misc stuff(install baers, custom A/C routing, etc..).

Mike - I know you were thinking of mine because you were there to see the patheic display. Just like Sean, Torrey, Guy, Guy's friend Russ,(who is a real charmer and doesnt voice his opinion at all!!) Brian and Cliff. Best time slip of that day for me was 12.40 @ 112 on 16psi and a 1.92 sixty foot. I really hope you have not seen another Stokes powered truck do a 13 second quarter mile!!! So whats a twin turbo odd fire cost to build? I need a house or I would probably have one already. Do you have to loose the AWD to make it fit?

ty4evr - where do you come up with fight? I dont fight. Just stating my opinion. Everybody as one. If ron thinks I paid to much for parts and installation thats his opinion but to me I got a good deal. So what is your opinion on how much it will cost to get a ty to run 10's consistently without major parts breaking?

i know it would cost a lot.. in my opinion when someone eliminates the AWD from their sy/ty is a big mistake. if a RWD sy/ty intrests someone, then what the hell was the point on buying a sy/ty.. why not just save your money and just buy an s10/s15. that only will that bring the value of the truck down and will depreciate

S10's are ugly, and some guys didn't buy their truck as an investment, If you want to invest for money put in the bank, don't build race cars.
