The 2" T-bolt clamps are for my BOV, so you may or may not need them.

Makes me happy since a rock or something made a big whole in my heat exchanger and the my pump over heated and seized up after a 20 mile drive the other day. Not sure what I hit cause it was dark out, but there was NO coolant in there.

Re: Another FMIC project

Will having a stock turbo do we need still to clock the turbo or is it something I have to wait and see

Re: Another FMIC project

It depends on how you want your piping to be routed. If you clock it down, the turbo pipe can go to the intercooler on the passenger's side. If you don't, then you can route it across to the driver's side and then down. Its up to you on how you want it.

Re: Another FMIC project

damian, mike and i used more expensive clamps, so that drives up the cost. also his 500 was including the price of welding in bung for bov, and the alky injector.

silicone intakes is right here in springs. turned out we needed a reducing 90 that we did not have, so we tried driving over there. no luck on a Sat. so we went back to another typhoon owners house (which we picked his motor up from earlier in the day) and borrowed his.

When I first bought my Ty, I drove it from SoCal to NE. When I got there, I realized the stock pump wasn't working at all. I was going to stop by there on my way back home and pick up one of the Rule pumps they have but I got there kinda late in the evening and they were closed. Almost saved myself some money then.

The only thing Im going to have to do is take my truck in for the turbo outlet. I have a V-band, so Im going to have it made up to go straight into the 2.25" to 3" 90 degree bend into the intercooler. Im probably going to have them weld up the top two pieces that go over the radiator for a cleaner look.

Edit: Can you post a pic from the engine bay showing the turbo to intercooler going through the support? I have that PC680 (or whatever # it is) laying down flat on the bottom and Im hoping I can keep it there.

Re: Another FMIC project

On the drivers side from the intercooler up, don't you need two 90 degree bends? I got everything in today and I was outside putting some stuff in to get an idea of what I need to do and I noticed that there is the 90 off of the intercooler but you need one to shoot up. Also, has anyone installed this with the stock mechanical fan?

Re: Another FMIC project

Did you guys have to do anything to the hood to clear that 3" tubing? I can't come close to closing the hood. I'm going to try and cut a small section out of the hood support to see if it will close.

Yes I am. As off as it is, it looks like I'm gonna have to cut the hood support and cut that hood a bit.

Re: Another FMIC project

I know it would be a pain. Can the tubing be routed behind the plenum and then back up to the intercooler? It would save cutting on the hood.
