Decided to toss on the steering shaft while I had the wheel well out for the ABS delete kit I got from Aaron(fivetodrive). Aaron dropped by during his lunch break for a few pointers on the steering shaft install that took about six minutes and then decided to do the ABS delete kit at the same time. Before I did this delete kit my truck would maybe hold 6-7 pounds of boost even with new shoes in the rear......after the removal I decided to do a test brake boost run....the pedal dropped to the floor after a few quick revs in neutral and wound it up to 18 psi and let her rip...what friggin difference!!!
new brake lines...
The new shaft...
Before the shaft and delete kit were installed...
new shaft in...
new brake lines in...
ABS unit gone...
Wheel well was washed and buffed before re-install...
ABS unit and the hornets nest of brake lines removed along with old steering shaft...
If anybody is on the fence about doing either one of these two low dollar upgrades I'd say do it!
