Robert is still AWD and have problems putting the power to the ground from the start, he will tell you that. So he has turned the power down at start, able to turn it back up at end of track hence the higher MPH.
Supra's well we all know they make no power until 100,000 rpm. I suspect your supra friends 60ft times were 1.5 range or so. Mike is 60ft in 1.2-1.3 big difference.
Dyno chart of a supra
800hp sure, but at 5k rpm it makes about the same HP as a stock syty motor. Not dogging supras just totally different type of horsepower.
Compare that dyno to a similar motor to what Mike has. 5k rpm he is over 1k hp mark. Much more horsepower under the curve.
If you go to say this page

you will see NHRA national records, we can assume these guys have a well setup car to use the power efficiently.

[/SIZE]So actually Mike's MPH says he should be running a 8.00 run, maybe even in 7's.
Your buddies supra if setup right would be 7.8 car.
Roberts truck, remove AWD install a true drag only suspension be high 7's capable.
