Ok so I'm new to this whole typhoon thing but what exactley is the point of putting in a 4L80E instead of the 700R4 is there something special besides they are newer?

Reliability! Once you make a little more power than stock and have changed a couple syty 700 the 80e is well worth the money :tup:

Everyone. Here's what's happened. One member of the GP has come into hard times. I used his monies along with some others to buy the first batch of components from Jeff, get dipsticks, bolts, shafts, stuff like that.
If someone else can please buy in, I can send the individual his money back. For you guys that think I'm getting rich, your kidding yourself. These components are not cheap due to the small quantities we are getting.
The kits are gonna start going out as soon as I get all the stuff in.
Thanks everyone and to the individual that backed out, I am very sorry for what has happened and I hope it works out. As soon as the last kit is purchased I'll send the money back asap minus paypal fees. I hope you don't have to sell the Ty as well

I am already in for one of the kits, but I will buy the one that was backed out of until someone buys it. That way you can refund the member who has come into hard times. Once someone buys that kit then that money can be put towards my tranny build.

Just put it on the same card number I gave you.

Ok, guys this is me that George is talking about.My job postion got elimated so I took a huge paycut. I gave George a deposit for this kit, but with all this happen i'm going to have to back out.Until I get everthing figured out.. If things get worse I might end up selling one of my toys....

Ok. I'll call everyone today and get everything finalized.

Delivery will be as soon as everything shows up. I'll do shipping charges then. Shouldn't be more than 2 weeks. Shifter cables are here, waiting on dipsticks, stuff like that. Output shafts are done. Jeff will finish up the other 6 kits.

Since the GP is complete now I will update from my end on status.

4 kits were delivered to George as stated already. I have 6 to finish.

All the output shafts are done, shifter brackets done. Crossmember, adaptors, and brace extensions are what remains. I plan to get some of that done this weekend. 2 weeks max to finish all of them, hopefully just a week.

George still has things to add on his end, shafts to cryo, etc.

The first 4 are at cryo now. They will ship them back to me monday.

They "cook" them Friday, Saturday, and finish up Sunday. Really long process. Drop temp, hold temp, bring temp back up, go up to 300 F, hold it, bring back to room temp. Controlled the whole time.

my 700r4 is more or less 'hung up' at waller at the moment and i'm getting antsy

i had heard you needed a shorter front driveshaft and longer rear driveshaft on the 80, can i assume that since neither are in your list that i do not?

What list did you read? :rotf: Longer front driveshaft is on sale for $380 if you get the kit and you need to shorten your rear driveshaft 3.25". It's really cheap to have one shortened and the stock front driveshaft(propshaft) isn't worth lengthening because the double cardan breaks on them. So $1320 for the install kit + $380 for the front prop if you want to get them while they are on sale. Mrsyclone hasn't been back in touch and hasn't paid and I'm still waiting on Protosy so I've got 2 hanging. If you buy one, it's yours. You can have this installed locally if you have a known good core, it's no big deal. I recommend doing a Transgo HD2 kit. I sell those for $115 if you want that too. It's up to you. 80e will be the last time you worry about the trans.
