I just purchased a Syclone with 76,xxx miles. I was horrified with tractor like steering experience. I'm very interested in purchasing the ZQ8 quick ratio steering box.
Besides the steering box, do you need to replace anything else if the suspension is in good working order?

got my old box off and put new pitman on zq8 box and compared the lock to lock between the two.
Stock - 3.5 turns lock to lock
My Zq8 - 3 turns lock to lock
from going thru all 27 pages i noticed some discrepancies between each ZQ8 box. Some people had 2.25 turns LTL, and some had 2.75 turns LTL. And now mine at 3 turns.
Is the only factor for the difference mileage and wear or are they equipped with different ratios?
Also. i put my degree wheel on and checked shaft slop.
Stock - 4.5* free play before moving pitman
ZQ8 - 1.5* movement..
I was hoping for a tighter ratio but my ultimate goal is to get rid of this thing walking all over the road. I know the 275's really dont help but im trying to fix everything else first.

Digging up this thread again, Brian I purchased this zq8 box from you years ago for the Sy. It's 2-1/4 turn lock to lock, Looking for one to put on the Ty that has the same ratio. Here are the numbers off of it, the blurred numbers from the flash are H0511
