Uhh...... I think what Ed is trying to say is that the converter is still loaded (or should I say over loaded?) and the heat is still gonna be there (maybe more of it depending on build / H.P.) but the 2 step will allow you to do things above and beyond the rated stall (with proper cooling!).

most people dont realize that "rated stalls" are based on a specific weight and hp.

put more power to a converter and that "rated stall" number will go up.

My original reason for changing to the 2 step and linelock stuff was to get my physical body out of the equation, i.e. to be able to leave off a button.

I mean look at it this way, I will turn 51 in another month, my knees are shot, arthritis kickin my ass and joints everywhere. heck my knees are so bad i just applied for a partial diasability. I'm happy when i can just walk normal. Lol :)
So being able to get my body out of the equation was very important.

Change over to a 2step and launch setup and you will never go back.

btw if you try leaving with linelocks and find it easier... leaving off a transbreak is even easier ( you dont have to kill the footbrake pedal) !
OH and you wanna talk about feelin a hit. OMG!

Yep boys, Ed is right. A 2 step is good but a trans brake is evil! PS: Ask George about the stress though, then you decide if it right for you.
