Did I get it right? :D Dyslexia sucks.

According to the op, there isn't any difference between the two. Haha

Re: 1991 Sonoma build need help

Hey brother I am pretty new to the SyTy scene but with anything in life, if it is worth having, it is worth defending. I have a 92 S-10 4x4 that I love to no end, I paid $2800 for it with 120,000 on the clock and it has never failed me. I have a 93 Typhoon that I paid $9800 for with 68,000 miles and have owned it for a month and am needing a new engine because the previous owner blew it up and now that I have some SyTy knowledge (not much but getting there) I can understand that the difference is not cladding and a turbo. These trucks are touchy, the concept was radical and to own one means you are constantly learning because no one else knows how to work on them. I commend you on your build and hope it goes well for you I would agree that this post at the minimum should be in general discussion or off-topic, if even on the forum.
Most SyTy owners are a little more traditional, they seek to improve upon the original design and keep one of the last true factory hot rods alive. You won't see much support for lambo doors, shaved door handles, 20" and so on. I don't see anything wrong with that but our trucks were built in pursuit of speed, not flash. I like my music loud and want a nice ride but my Ty will always be as close to factory as I can keep it (esthetically speaking) because these trucks were beautiful rolling out of the show room.
I have a deep love of S-body trucks, my Ty makes number 4 that I have owned so I am glad to see another guy who likes them but understand that your build is different than what most here would do. Welcome to the forum, if you have any questions about that 4x4 I don't mind helping you out.

Side note, with the amount of toys you say you have I think you need one more, find a SyTy, read all you can, get one and enjoy.

Hey guys I am not new to turning wrenches but I am new to the site. I have a 91 Sonoma 4x4 I have been building for years; reason being lack of money, bill, women, growing up, etc. It is basically stripped down now. I love the TY/SY's but it is not one and I do not plan on making it a clone, I want it to be a one off show/daily driver. It was my dad's then I got it as my first vehicle so it means a lot to me.

This site may better suit your needs:

http://www.v8s10.org/forum/

Search and do your homework over there or you may get flamed as those guys put just about every sizeV8 into the S10.

Good luck with your build.
