I heard of the tt sy from a colleague at HP when I was down there in March. Drag racing seemed to be very popular on the island. I also saw several gn's and lots of restored American muscle while driving around.

I think you should avoid the water box if you're running treaded tires. It will always drip down and/or spin to the surface and cause traction problems. Just a thought.
I'd be willing to bet the junk stock wheels are the root cause. Borrowing some known good non-syty wheels/tires is the best way to confirm this. That is the only thing that eliminated the vibration from my 140k ty and it was chased since new with many parts and tires being replaced!
I also recently ran a tank of low octane gas and was amazed at how much knock was present. The knock was wicked during low rpm, no boost, part throttle situations. Carefully drove the tank empty, filled with the good stuff and it seems to be OK now. I won't make that mistake again!
I know of 3 that drive Ty's here in Colorado Springs. One was a teen is a white/gray 92. Another owns the Corvette Center in town and commutes a fair distance each way in a Ty (they also have a couple sy's at the store for parts chasers). The last is a beautiful blond I saw one day a few...
