Well it seems that everybody forgets that i ordered one of the kits from the original GP from jjorgeson and that took awhile to get the kit, and i was very dissappointed in the brackets that i got, they were not cutr out very well, had no penatration on the welds, and just look cobbled together. And for the 200 bucks i had spent, i was pretty disappointed. Now im not saying that it wont work, becasue my Ty broke the crank before i got the rear disk swapped on, im sure they will work just fine.

I saved money using Geico and stayed in a holiday inn express last week.

WTF does that have to do with anything?

You "sold" advertised pieces you said at one time would be lazer cut and powder coated if I remember right. What you sent was scrap metal, let me rephrase that I throw away chunks of remant metal that look better than that.

When you do business, you have to ship what you sold. Not something different than expect everybody to be happy. I can tell you even if they worked as advertised, they wouldn't be bolted on my truck. I like to think I drive a truck to be proud of, not a cobbled toghether jalopy which is what these brackets are.

So are you offering a full refund to anybody not happy?

thats on the cable itself though. I wonder how much pressure is on the cable housing/bracket.

I tested the shoe itsself not pulling on the cable Id have to bring a rear diff into work and It would be hard to sneak that into the test lab  I used a small spreader with limiters on each side of the ring to stop and hold pressure at 1/8 inch movement

Well the price of the kits didnt change from the original GP, and nobody bitched about the price then, and the changes i made were for the better. The cables are the expensive part, and the stainless hardware. Steel isnt cheap these days either, and everybody is entitled to a profit. And i NEVER FORCED ANYBODY TO PAY UP FRONT, if you go back and read my original post, i asked who would want a kit, and asked that since i knew is was going to take some time to get the cables made that i only asked for half up front to help offset the cost of the cables and then you could pay the balance when the kits were ready to ship, EVERYBODY ELECTED ON THERE OWN TO PAY IN FULL.

First off if your going to put your .02 cents in you need to get your facts straight. I never offered laser cut or water jette brackets, and the powdercoating was always offered as an option that only 1 person wanted, i was only going to paint them with some black rattle can. Thats the problem with this thread, everybody thinks they have the facts, and most are full of shit and dont bother to read before posting.

In the begining, i was cuting out the center hole with a 3in hole saw, and then triming out the rest of the bracket with a band saw, but this was a very slow process, so i was able to get a plasma cutter and i thought it would make them faster and look better, but it was alittle rougher on the edges than i had thought, so i had to spend some time grinding them out to look better. Some have posted that i bend over the hole for the cable on the end of the leg, and this was partially done on purpose, to help hold the end of the cable tighter in the bracket.

even for torch cut man, thats pretty jagged, you have admitted. i have one good hand with full use and i would have found a way to make the cut cleaner and they look like a little brace welded under the cable fold would add some needed strength. and that could have been cut out of the scrap you didn't ship. if you were over your head i'm sure someone would have given it or atleast adviced you on it.

To set the record straight, im not out to take anybodys money or rip anybody off. Yes the frame swap has taken alot more time and effort than i originally thought. I will have all the brackets and hardware shipped out by the end of next week, i will also be powdercoating everyones brackets at no charge just to say sorry for the wait.

so by your OWN CLAIM, powdercoating was the standard, not an option. You posted more recently that you don't have the funds. Wah. It doesn't matter what you did w/ the money you took from everyone...what matters is you aren't delivering a promised part based on the description.

how do you partially do something on purpose? :rotf:

I partially took everyones money on purpose - i say partially becuase i fully intended on taking the money...but on partially intended on shipping them parts.

"Anyways, the parts will be every bit the same in quality as what was offered before, i will be using the same jigs for the axle brackets, same supplier for the cables and hardware. Only thing that i cant offer at this point, which is subject to change if i can find a good deal on a used oven is having the ability to powdercoat the brackets."

What was offered before.

Whats funny is when you lie over and over to cover your own ass you forgot what is your ass, the truth, and what you have promised.

I will assure you these brackets look like ASS. So now lets get down to the truth. You offering a refund?

Re: LS1 Ebrake kits...New GP

ok the results are in. I'm the extremely proud owner (well borrower) of a HRV6 eBrake kit!!! Lets take a glance at how these bad boys look.

Looks like the plasma cutter didn't come with instructions.
IMG_3603.jpg

Unless by plasma he's referring to the plasma found in the blood that you'll lose when you cut yourself on the shark tooth bite marks of the brackets

HRV6 didn't lie about 1 thing: the cables themselves are NICE!
IMG_3604.jpg

I'll use the same vendor to get cables made since they already have the specs, and obviously make a nice cable.

Here is my favorite picture. Now...as far as i know....the mount hole spacing on the passenger and drivers side are mirrored, but still the same when being measured. That being the case....i'm a little curious as to why the bolt holes in these brackets don't line up so good:
IMG_3602.jpg

So whenever i double check my own brackets, i'll attempt to install these...but my guess is that one of them won't even fit right. :squint:

I thought i'd compare them to the thick stainless steel ones i've made for MRKING
IMG_3599.jpg

Unfortunately the cable hold hole is a hair too thin for the LS1 cables to snap into, or i'd be a step closer to having a final product already. But thats ok.

As for the strength of the HRV6 bracket - i'll attest it is stronger than it looks in the pics, i couldn't bend it by hand / it isn't pliable like is appears. BUT i'm still skeptical that i'd flex when engaged the parking brake. Who knows...it doesn't change the fact that he took a nice piece of $5 mild steel and made it ugly.

the stainless ones were for MRKING..it was a custom design he'd come up with that i was making for him. I'll make a different setup for the 'standard' ebrake kit. I can offer them in stainless, but they'll cost more. (Will still be less than $100 for stainless...unless i end up needing to buy a plasma cutter)

Will you be selling these with the optional jagged edge, misaligned holes, grinder marks? Can you make me a bracket so I can put lasers on my sharks?

Just for clarification:
Correct, you did buy a full kit from me. I batch shipped all of my kits (no complaints about late shipping, the lack of complaints in my old GP ought to prove that). I received the following POSITIVE feedback from you:

Great comunication, and great product. Will do business with again. Thanks Buyer: HotRodV6 (28) Date: 02-15-2006

Now, I guess you don't believe in customer service based on this thread, but if what you say about my kit and brackets is true, I would have been more than happy to either replace the parts to your satisfaction, or give you a partial refund on it. But, evidently, that makes sense and we can't have that.

Note to self: wait more than 2 years to start complaining about someone else's work behind their back. Sounds like a great idea :screwy:

I wasnt complaining. This has gotten to the point where no matter what i say everybody has formed there opinion and thinks im the worlds biggest crook and set out from the start to rip everybody off. And nothing i do from this point on will change that, if i had the money to give back i would, and im sure people would still think i ripped them off imm some way.

I knew right away I would be able to make a killing off these! Maybe i can even buy a plasma cutter with the profits. Plus the great thing about online sales to a car forum where people stupidly trust me....is I can get people to pay up front and not send them anything for a year.

than he needs to complete everyones order, and publicly apolagise to all party's ionvolved, and all of sy/ty.net.

i still believe that he should be stripped of his "trader rating" and put to 0, or -5 to start out with. if he so chooses then, he could build it up agian, and be in good standing in the community.

you may ask,... but who would want to deal with anybody with a -5 trader rating??

well then it looks like a little charity goes a long way....give some small things away to fellow board members, and they might just give you some positive feedback, and get yuu back to zero.

it would be like kinda filing bankruptsey (sp) on your trader rating.
