Just a few thoughts this thread has brought up:
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
The "newbie" should not need to be "protected" from anything, the information is here if one chooses to do their homework. Laziness should have a price, as should ignorance.
 OK, earlier i posted that i agreed with silly that the MODs should police these issues to an extent. And i still believe that to be the case. Renz and the rest of you are doing fine in my book, just as new issues arise i think you guys at some point do need to step in. I dont know exactly when that is, but there is a point at which you should.
The quote above is plain stupid however. If we dont take some action to somewhat protect newbies then we will see more and more vendors/people on here to take advantage of them. Those are the ones we should most protect in my book, some of us have been here long enough to know not to trust people, shame on us for not doing our homework i agree. For someone new to these trucks and to syty.net it may be a little overwhelming. To just let them get taken because they are new and didnt read old old posts is ignorant. I have no dog in this fight either as i stated earlier. Maybe we all should become vendors and only sell to newbies, then take their money and laugh at them, see how long the community stays together that way.
As a community we have the right to voice our opinion, as many of you have and will. MODs, dont take it to personal! chill out!
Members, dont bash someone over a dollar, 420 i remember reading your stuff before, thats not a dollar, bashing is ok!
This board is gossip and bash cecntral, its like being back at nats 9. And other than seeing roberts truck run and meeting a couple of you there it wasnt much fun, much like this subject.
Here is a suggestion. do something like , where you can leave comments that can only be removed if BOTH parties agree to remove it. That way people can bitch if they want about a vendor or whoever, then if things are worked out they can both remove it, if not its there for the rest of us to research before using vendors. This would poss benefit both parties, 1 the vendor should want all bad comments about them removed for obvious reasons #1 future business. 2 members can post their problems without fear that mods or the vendor will just delete them due to advertising $ or friendships, they have some power over the vendors in this case to right whatever the wrong was. This could work the other way as well, if poor customer then vendors could post on them as well.
Just and idea, im sure someone will attack me know for putting it out there. OH WELL!
EVEN GREAT FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVE BAD BLOOD FROM TIME TO TIME. you air it out and maybe get over it. if not part ways.
Its time to go home, please continue with the drama!
