I haven't seen these for sale in a long time. Not sure of the Ebay ones.

This one looked good until I saw the wastegate.

On the other hand, if you could fab up a downpipe flange & some sheet metal work (for the wastegate exhaust path), or even a separate exhaust pipe & return the wastegate exhaust further downstream of the turbo back into the main exhaust pipe (A.K.A. downpipe), which is ideal anyways. this looks doable & would separate the wastegate valve from the main stream exhaust.

Just a thought anyways.

I plan on running a separate exhaust pipe for the wastegate, when ever I get around to it.

With the one from Ebay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kinugawa-Tu...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2330388bab&vxp=mtr
you would not have to fab a divider wall like I did.

Re: WTB: 10 or 12cm TD06H turbine housing.

I saw that exact housing on eBay, the 12cm one. Interesting, but I'd have to build a flange. I also have an external gate attached to the crossover, so even having a wastegate is sorta useless.

Dunno, the new turbo I have is a GT35 compressor wheel in a TD06 3" inlet compressor cover, with the new swoopy TD06H turbine wheel. It's in a DSM 8cm turbine housing right now, one of the custom cast Forced Perfomance ones. I'm tempted to try that combo out with an adapter plate, see how it does. It's a different shaped volute that the housings we have, and the DSM guys are getting 550-600 out of this combo.

Do you have any pics of your turbo?

With an 8 CM housing, & unless that swoopy turbine wheel has less blades ,like 9 or so, I think with our engines being 4.3 liters, I think it's going to have a tough time making 400 HP. Just IMO.

That turbo you have will spool up real fast!

Housings are identified by the numbers on the turbo inlet forget all that casting number crap! As shown here in the pics I took of a stock 8cm and a 10cm that I got when I bought my 20g--

Re: WTB: 10 or 12cm TD06H turbine housing.

The DSM 6/7/8 cm housing looks totally different than the T3 style that the Syty's use. They have a round opening to them.

Like I said, DSM guys are making 550ish out of these things, think the overall AR of the housing is .61 with an 8cm opening. As far pictures, head to FP's website, and look at the DSM specific turbo's. I'm not worried about internal gate as I have an external on a crossover already, or I can build one off of the dump hole on the turbine itself.

To use it the way it is, all I need is an adapter plate for the T3 to DSM flange, then build the downpipe to fit. Might give it a go, just to see how it works, then if I need to, buy a 10 or 12cm housing. The Typhoon just sits all the time anyways...

Smaller housing=less air flow unless you port and polish it to remove some material.IMO. But then again what do I know?

Re: WTB: 10 or 12cm TD06H turbine housing.

No pics handy, but take a look at Forced Performance's website. It's the DSM 8cm housing that they offer.

Atonkler, don't get too stuck on naming nomenclature, remember, this is a different style of housing. Just like A/R isn't everything, except for when you are comparing apple to apples. A 1.0AR T3 and a 1.0AR T4 housing are VERY different.

Regardless, if I can find a 10 or 12cm housing for ~$100, I'll take it.

It's the 11 bladed swoopy turbine wheel.

By you stating this two times now, is that what you believe that turbo will provide for your Ty? 550HP? At the wheels?

The 11 bladed swoopy turbine wheel, who makes it? FP? Where do they get those from?

Just asking.

Post some more pics of your 10 CM, different sides angles. P.N.

Thanks

It's on the truck now, big difference! Runs like a scalded dog! All I really took was the pics of the inlet numbers and then ported & polished it then put it together ! I'll dee if I have more somewhere I might have taken when I got it.

Nice!

Were you able to port the mismatch of the ports? Exhaust manifold to turbo?
