Code59/58 will run on the following ECMs
1227749 - Stock Syty/Turbo Sunbird ECM
Description: 1227730 w/ one missing quad driver, w/ additional injector driver FET
Application: 1987-90 2.0 OHC L4 PFI turbo “M” LT3
1987-88 2.3 DOHC L4 PFI “D” LD2
1991-93 truck 4.3 V6 PFI turbo “Z” LB4

1227730 - If the wiring is repinned to the syty diagram
Application: 1987 2.0 L4 TBI “1” LL8
1988 2.0 L4 TBI “1” LL8 (early)
1987-89 2.8 V6 PFI “W” LB6 (exc. “W” body)
1988-94 3.1 V6 PFI “T” LH0 (exc. “W” body)
1990-92 5.0 V8 TPI “F” LB9
1990-92 5.7 V8 TPI “8” L98 (“F” body)

Not sure if it will run on this one since it is essentially a 730. No one has tested it yet.

The stock bravada/jimmy 91-94 ecm uses the: - I could be wrong on this one.

So you would have to put a 1227730 or a 1227749 ECM and redo the wiring to match the syty at the ecm plugs for it to work.

I am pretty sure the ostrich will work on your ECM you currently have, but I would contact Craig Moates and ask him. www.moates.net I am not totally familar with your ECM so I don't want to say it will work 100%. Moates would know for sure.

Let me know if you find a ads and xdf file that will work with your ECM.. My 93 Jimmy has a 16179571 ECM.. Hardware wise the moates autoprom works fine with it I just can't find and xdf or ads files so that I can edit the bin and view/log data in tunerpro.

What code mask is the ECM using? If I knew what it was I might be able to find something for it.

For the ADS, I might be able to make the ADS file if need be. I have a zip file form Moates that has a ton of them in it.

Then I had an XDF and ADS file already that I made for this when Jeff and I were working on using the GM ECM to control 4L80e. but I thought $0D was TBI.

i guess what im asking is which set of year truck is compatable???

i will buy the year truck that is supported by the ostrich / code 59.

In those years only a syty. So if you want to run code59 you would have to swap ecm's.

Well you could buy a 91-92 thirdgen camaro/firebird.

Its a 93/94 computer with a TCCM(Transfer Case Control Module) piggybacked. I'm pretty sure its the same ECM that you will find in every 92-94 CPI S10 with a 60e tranny.
