I did my own fenderwells.... Base of POR-15, followed by some high-build primer, sanded smooth.
Finished with a semi-gloss black. I'd *really* like to find a source for the real underhood black that has sort of a brownish-green tint to it.
I did this inside and out. Mine weren't terribly grungy, if yours are you might want to media blast first.
I think the bedliner spray on the underside idea is a good one. Might add a bit of weight, but it will stay nice a lot longer.
I also made up new fender flaps out of some reinforced rubber belting. Much tougher than the original stuff.
