Where to mount MSD Ignition Box?

I'm looking to add an MSD Digitial 6 ignition in the near future (as soon as I can get a good price on one), mostly for the 2 step so I can actually have a chance at racing this truck like a REAL car... (it's very difficult to launch on time properly).

The question is - where do you guys mount it, if you have full accessories? Everyone I've seen that has it, has removed some major accessories under the hood. Here's what we're working with:

Any ideas? All I can see is the spot by the air filter on the fender, above the battery, but I'm looking to redo my air filter setup so I'm hoping for something else.

I mounted my 6A inside the fender behind the coolant overflow tank.

this is where one was mounted in the 5 speed typhoon.
I just removed it...its a 6AL if you have any interest in buying it.

I have full accessories as well and was actually thinking of mounting my Digital 6 in the interior somewhere, possibly under the dash.

Random brackets, not the best place, but it works, and looks all right. I will try to get some better pics tomorrow or so.

I have full accessories as well and was actually thinking of mounting my Digital 6 in the interior somewhere, possibly under the dash.

I don't know about MSD Digital, but the 6AL clicks and it drove me up the wall when I had it in my interior.

I put my 6A box behind the windshield resv. tank.
Or you can put it behind the rad. overflow tank that hab been previously mentioned.

I know it doesnt help you at all, but im going to mount mine right on top of my Non-AC heater box. Bligow!

Mine is mounted on a aluminum plate inside the fender in the opening in front of the coolant overflow tank. I ran the wires inside the fender and along the firewall so it is out of site I did this for the sleeper look.

remove your abs then you'll have lots of room.

Mine is mounted to the rad support, underneath the battery tray.

With the stock battery location, you can't see it at all...

Only downer was that I had to lengthen the power wire to get to the block on the firewall.
Might not be a problem with newer 6A units, mine was an early 80s model.

Well I removed my Windshield Washer resovior so I put it there.

it might fit under the wiper cowl too...there is a decent amount of room in there.

no brainer. remove your vacuum ball and mount it upside down under the battery tray. stealth.

the battery tray loves to trap water in it and drip below...you better shield the thing if its going to be there.
