I have 12 vehicles and am moving in the next year. Thinning to the best 6 (and the bowtie Aspen Ty is one of them). The beautiful 1992 custom painted Typhoon with sunset orange metallic paint is going to be cut loose.

Engine mods:
Precision 60 ball bearing turbo
60 lb injectors
turbo tew.. chip
PLX wideband
Aluminum front mount intercooler
TurboSmart wastegate
TurboSmart boost controller
ATR 3" dp
ATR exhaust
Hi Flo fuel pump
Volvo c60 cooling fan
Dakota digital fan controller

Suspension:
J&S coilover front control arms with qa1's
qa1 rear coilovers,
Nice 19x10 c6 chrome wheels
front and rear ls1 brakes
ABS delete
Astrovan brake booster upgrade,

Repaint was about 7500.00 and truck was completely taken apart, so it looks like it came the color it is

Hid headlights
HID foglights
LED underhood and interior lighting

Interior is stock (excepting some aftermarket gauges) and is in great shape.

Dilemma is that a new oil pressure sender appeared to fix a low oil pressure reading problem but the truck is reading back around 25 psi again. Truck runs great with no knock or smoke but is still a concern. Not gonna keep this one so let me know what you would do (options above).

Another option would be to fix it and then sell complete.

Even so, selling complete and stating issue is probably easier than pulling the engine and selling as roller. :dunno:

Meanwhile, what else do you think you'll sell?

Re: What would you do?

The mods you list are at least 4-5k, maybe more. It all depends on what you want for it and how badly you need the money. I suspect that isn't an issue.

For the hassle involved in stripping bits and selling the truck as a roller etc, I'd be inclined to sell it as is. I'm not sure what you'd get for it though. Pics would help refresh the old memory :D

Re: What would you do?

I would fix it, sell at a higher value to keep up the value of our rare trucks!
And your vehicles always look clean and everything working lol. glws

Re: What would you do?

Clarification:

I have to either pull the engine to examine the oil pump OR drop the front end. I really would like to keep the drivetrain since it runs so strong since I have to pull it anyway. Paid $5000 for the truck and pretty certain I can get $6500 for just the roller. Bought it to spin a profit on anyway but envisioned more like 5 digits ;)

Don't need any money...just space. The Aspen Ty must continue the journey with me to the nursing home so I expect to have it for a looong time.

I'm in the same situation,12 cars and two houses and would love to relocate, but all these toys are an anchor around my neck.Trouble is I don't want to part with any of them.

I don't see the poll option for: Sell to sy605 for what T-Bone paid so he'd have a truck to take to nationals :D

Keep it together, you know in most cases anyways ( yours might not fit here), that once they come apart they take awhile ( years) to get together.Or start a raffle and sell tickets for it. lol

I don't know what you should you do. But I wish mine were half that nice, and had half as many mods...and I paid for mine what you did for yours!

Re: What would you do?

Does the oil pressure climb with rpms? Or is it always 25?

It rises with revolutions but not above 35 or so. It runs so good I suppose I will just shell out some $$$ to have the oil pump investigated and replaced if necessary. Seems to be the major consensus of the SyTy brethren

I'd do an oil analysis first.Gauge may be fubar.

It is an autometer gauge but I do have a brand new one I can install this week just to rule that out. Twould be a whole lot easier than pulling an engine. Will let you know the result.

F the gauges. You need to see if bearing material is in the oil, that way you can sell it honestly,

Come get it for $8500. T-bone doesn't sell anything for what he paid but he is willing to pass on a steal to a friend......forget about what I paid for it and invested to go get it. Probably will just fix it and market it for $14500 OBO on fleabay or smoke some soldiers in it locally and then sell it to them.
