As long as your not knocking and running the small amount of mods you mentioned I would say your rods will be just fine, but you might want to pull the oil pan and replace the rod bearings if you have alot of miles on the truck, especially since thier soooo cheap. But it's a BITCH to plull that oil pan, but it can be done trust me, Ive done it. Twice.

Start with the T-1 programs,and monitor for knock retard.You might be able to run 17 psi on good pump gas.
Don't run the T-3 settings on pump gas.

you got datamster already? I run mine on the t2 18 setting without problems, but I got an aftermarket turbo.I only use the Shell 99+ or the omv 100 oktane fuel.

I would leave the stock chip UNTIL you have DATAMASTER or similar scan tool (tunerpro, old diacom, etc.)
