what to do speed pro or memcal

i just cant figure out what would be the best setup. do i want to fool with tuning the stock ecm or going with speed pro? help
i have a 4 bolt block, pt68, atr headers, vortech heads, 412 cam and 84lb injectors. if anyone has some advice i would love the help.

I will be putting a dfi7 in soon.

ken will tell you to do the same.

But imho i really think it would be best that you go with a system where you have an experienced tuner that lives nearby.

just my 2cents as i know that most here tuned themself.

This will just help you get up and running quicker and easier.

Also having someone with experience to teach is of great value.

I have a local tuner for the dfi7, hence my decision to use that system.

I've had the speedpro for almost a year now and I love it! It realy is user friendly and with the wide band it tells you what it wants.

either way you go speedpro/DFI stock ecm, I would suggest a WBo2

Like Ed said but im biased do a gen 7, the boost builder is the coolest thing for our trucks instant spool plus i probably have a map here for your truck

also if your out in cali ive Mike Lee a call he sells the gen 7. Also you can run full sequential with our system very easily (distributor swap) we support high or low impediance injectors, dual elec fan control 3 stage nitrous control (or alcohol) there are lots of features we offer that the other guys dont. Plus you get excellent technical support (me :D ). if you have any questions about it give me a call 248-380-278- hit 2 when it answers

i have speedpro. did you know there is a new speedpro model coming out from the fella that did the original speedpro. it should be better than the speedpro model, not that that one is bad or anything.

both systems are good and have their strong points. if you have someone near you that really knows how to set one up and is willing to be friendly and help you i would think that would be a really good thing since they are a fair amount of work ot install and tune.

Actuallt speed pro of FAST has a new box coming and John Meany has a box comming also, but they have been saying this for months.

if you want to get the most out of the stock computer you'll need a wideband O2 sensor. the pocket romulator seems to be the way to go. datamaster is a must. being able to burn your own chips or a friend that can do it for you would be helpful. and a good relationship with nolan nykeforek (canadian syty) in canada would be a nice thing to have for helpin ya get the most out of it. he can read your datamaster runs and correct for you. he's a real good tuner and a good guy to boot. turbov6 phil long seems to be havin a lot of luck with the romulator too, and i bet he would be willing to give you advice on doin it. still my advice is the speedpro or accel.

After all you dont want to call your tuner every time you make a change in your setup

The one thing to remember is with chip tuning you cant change the basic thought process of the stock ecm which is emissions, unless you change the factory bins its still is a emissions based ecm.
