What should I be running? 1/4mile.

What do you guys think my truck should be running? Here's my mod list:
Intake-
Exhaust- 3 in. Cat back, no cat.
Snow meth stage 1 with the 175 nozzle, using washer fluid.
EGR Delete.

The best time I have logged at the track is,

2.43 60ft
6.35 330ft
9.62 1/8th
12.45 1000ft
14.89 1/4 at 91.17mph

Im running at RMR at 4500ft elevation.
The truck pulls clean and hard. Only a small amount of KR at shifts.
What do you guys think?

if you get your 60 ft down (boost launching?) you should be running 13.5 or so

With your altitude thats pretty good, but boost launching will drop the ET a good amount.

What fuel pump does it have & what are your A/F ratios when racing?

I have a stock pump with 152k on the clock, I dont have a wideband.Yet. I have a hard time seeing my truck running a 13.5 at this elevation. I cant get my brakes to hold and not creep past about 2 lbs or so.

Maybe new brakes, they should hold better then that. A good boost launch will make all the difference in the world. That's one of the best things about the sy/ty.

you should be able to pull 60ft in 1.8 that's 0.6th alone, + the extra speed you will make so it would be more like 1 sec off with a good launch.
have you tried to rev it in neutral so you build vacuum for the booster?

I agree w/you on running a 13.5 @ your altitude, I dont see that happening w/out some fairly decent added mods. Plus having 152K does not help either IMO.:2cents:

I would get a better fuel pump if its a stock one in there.:2cents:

You need the larger rear wheel cylinders in the back to help hold the brakes better. Plus doing the boost launch technique will need to be done to get higher vacuum while crushing down on the brake pedal.:2cents:

Goodluck next time @ the track.

If you are on the stock chip, you will have to "floor it" at least once before your run. For some reason the factory limited boost on your first WOT, but not on any thereafter until you shut the truck off. Then it resets...

Re: What should I be running? 1/4mile.

Thanks for all of the tips. I'll clairify a little. The body has 152k on it. The Trans has less than 2k, and the engine has around 40-60k.I have tried the neutral vacuum assit thing on launch and it still creeps forward. Any more info on the large rear cylinders? The front pads and calipers are new as well.

I just did the larger wheel cylinder swap on my sy, It made a noticable difference in the amount of boost at launch. I could only get to 3 or so LBS before and the rears would start spinning, now I have had up to around 8 LBS with no tire spin. I dont know how much more it would hold and Im not sure I want to take it too high and hurt something. The part number I used for the the wheel cylinders on the sy is WC110261, thats a wagner brake product and its a 7/8 bore. Im not sure if the Ty cylinders are the same number.

You will need different wheel cylinders for a Ty. The cylinders on a Syclone are a clip on style. The Ty is bolt on. You will need wheel cylinders from a 1995 Blazer manual trans. This thread has a lot of info concerning this: http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=70745&highlight=7/8+typhoon This thread too http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?p=179967 Besides the wheel cylinders you should also rebuild the drums completely, have the drums turned and braided lines will help. Also, when you replace the shoes you will notice that the new set of shoes will have one long shoe and one short shoe for each side, if you buy two sets you can put all four long shoes on, giving you a little extra as well.

That or just do an LS1 rear brake swap, its not that expensive.

Thank you for clearing that up, I thuoght the ty cylinders were different. I also replaced all the hardware and the brake shoes when I did the swap.

My truck ran 8.79 at at 79 1/8th when it was bone stock. Only thing it had was KB air filter on crossover pipe. 600 elevation (PARADISE DRAG STRIP)

Re: What should I be running? 1/4mile.

If it's creeping either you didnt do the rev in neutral properly or you have issue with the front brakes. Rear tire spinning means you need bigger rear wheel cylinders.

Re: What should I be running? 1/4mile.

My sy has new brakes all around ( all stock no upgrade ) and with building vac first I can hold the truck at around 8psi before it starts to slip. But it never hurts to upgrade brakes:2cents:
