Removed my original wheels and took them to the local wheel resto expert this morning.

He does outstanding work and is thrilled to be doing Syclone wheels.
His enthusiasm really put my confidence level through the roof.
Can't wait to get them back.
Maybe a week.

New tires being mounted at the same time.
245/50R16 Cooper RS3-A's all around.

Poor Sy is up on jackstands now. :(

Went to do final assembly on my headers/turbo/downpipe. Found out that the downpipe I made for stock manifolds doesn't fit with headers. So I gotta make a new downpipe. fun.

you dont need 3.5" unless youre pushing 700hp+. Plus the PTE housing outlet is less than 3", so youre not gaining anything.

Pipe is cheap, i'm not going to chop it up, i'll just build another one.

I'll call you back, later today.

Pulled the gas tank, t-case and trans from #0292

heh, I did a bunch of boost launches in it before I brought it in to tear it apart.

Tetanus shot, anyone?

might wanna get two, can never be too careful

Here are some other random shots. Its kind of bittersweet, this is probably the most un-****ed with truck I have worked on beside 93 Ty #1006, but I also removed the passenger door panel today and it was never off before, the vapor barrier is totally mint its a shame the rest of the truck ended up the way it did.

front bolts were too rusty and the straps were paper thin, made removing the tank much easier.

found out this body mount was no longer doing anything.

As rusty as this truck is, I'm amazed at how easy the trans crossmember came out, as well as the bellhousing bolts and the stupid pain in the ass downpipe to bellhousing bracket bolts. The only thing that game me trouble was the lower trans cooler line, but nothing a torch and a pair of vice grips couldn't loosen up.

Trans fluid looks pretty decent, was a little low but I think one of the trans cooler lines has a pin hole leak in it.

upon closer inspection, i just need to rotate the last elbow away from the bellhousing. So i'll cut it off and spin it a little

So my todo list dwindles down to making brake lines, relocating fuel pump, relocating ecm, bend a new cold airbox, put the heater back in, wire up my new fans, install a new ZQ8 box, redo my hydroboost hose, and move my gauges again. Deadline is the Buffalo meet.
