1991 Syclone, V-8 CONVERSION. All-wheel drive, 355 Chevy small block engine- completely rebuilt, mild cam, Edelbrock Performer intake and Carb. Has MSD ignition box, remote oil filter relocation, headers, balance tube, 2 into 1 Flowmaster muffler into good sounding single exit exhaust.Engine compartment detailed nicely. Trans is a very heavy duty professionally built & modified 700r4 (with lockup) with a 2800 stall converter.

Less than 100 miles on rebuilt drivetrain.

Complete Autometer Ultra Lite instrumentation in dash and Pillar. Power windows, locks, and even retains air conditioning!

Tires are very good. Tonneau cover is in very nice shape. Body is fair, but will need some work soon. All factory ground effects are present and in good shape.

This was a professionally done conversion and no corners were cut.

This truck runs and drives terrific.

Much more than the asking price was spent on this unique vehicle. Now you can own a Genuine GMC Syclone without the hassles of the weak trouble prone v-6 engine!

Available to be seen by appointment most evenings, and during certain parts of the weekends. I will respond to all reasonable e mails.

My Loss is your gain.

What is he talking about? Weak V6 My Stock 92 Ty has 195k all original trans/engine/drivetrain he was probably running 86 octane and wondered why it blew up. Some people shouldn't own these trucks. What a shame of a Sy. Nickname it FrankenSY!

I saw a rough Sy that looked a lot like this at Rockford's shop, about a year or so ago.

The one you are referring to had a different tailgate, had Matchbox or something like that written on the back. I also don't remember the dash being like that. However, it is located close enough that it is possible.

The dash was the part that I do remember looking like that... along with the blingy chrome.
And the severely faded cladding.

Can't say that I remember the tailgate, but that could be changed.

Regardless the lineage, I doubt there will be many takers at that price point.

Eh, you are more than likely right then!

Has anyone contacted him to see where he is coming from with his numbers or more of a story to what happened to the original parts?

x2

His pictures aren't that great, and it would be good to get a little more info on the truck. I'm kind of curious my self to see how that dash is laid out.

I'd give him $2,500 without the motor and trans... then impregnate it with an LS V8! :D

Re: V8 Syclone Rochelle, IL

Rochelle is only about 20 mins away from me, if anyone wants someone to go looks at it.

theres no way i would touch it unless he wants to entertain selling it as a roller , he can even keep his dash board. still no reply....

Re: V8 Syclone Rochelle, IL

well i just got a reply from the guy , seems like a nice guy but said "Sorry, I am not interested in selling as a roller."

then the deal killer came "Rockford Racecraft performed the engine swap for the 350 V8 conversion. The engine had all new machine work on the block, crank & heads with all of the normal/usual rebuild components."
