For those having problems receiving info from the ECM and using a USB connector...

Have you guys switched to the faster baud rate USB connector? Ken and I worked for a while trying to figure out why the Sy's ECM didn't send info to the laptop, but once I hooked the Turbolink up to my bro's GN it worked! I told Ken, and from his experiences with these situations, the baud rate is not as fast enough for the ECM from the Sy/Ty's. He told me to try a different USB connector that should work on our ECM's and older ones.

Anyone else do this? Mine will be here Tuesday. Hopefully, it will solve my problem.

i couldn't get mine to link up with my ty, ever...it links up to my sy though...i recently bought a buick turbo and it will link up only the first time you try...if you diconnect for some reason, you have to restart the laptop and do a few other things for it to link up again and the laptop loses track of the cable...i'm using the adapter that t-link recommended....what i'm not liking about the turbolink is that you don't get an injector duty cycle reading (at least not on the buick) and playback is kinda tricky...

I understand what you are saying. On my Sy, it would detect cables but not communicate. Bought a faster baud rate USB adaptor and it fixed the problem. Hooray for me!
