Turbo gaskets

Re: Turbo gaskets

Can anyone tell me where I can order the manifold inlet and turbo outlet gasket from?

If you can avoid it at all I would not run a gasket in those places. I never had one last more than a month and they will warp your cast iron. We didn't have gaskets there from the factory:2cents:

If no gaskets, then I'm wondering how I can silence the spurts of exhaust leak I heard after I put my turbo back in. It didn't have gaskets when I took it out, I'll give you that. But if it's an exhaust leak, then to me it's a loss of power since it's escaping.

Gotta get it surfaced if possible.

Re: Turbo gaskets

really? howso? Never heard of that before

My theory is that when you have them how could you be 100% (EVEN BY TORQUING) that you aren't flexing the metal? All I can say is that the first I rebuilt my engine I thought something was wrong since there weren't any, I installed them and had nothing but trouble. Next rebuild, manifolds were warped as shit. Had them re surfaced and stopped using the gasket and never had one warp again.
