Just met another turbo 6 owner. Was a few weeks in the making as I drive by a house with garage door open and of course something catches my eye. Couldn't really figure out wtf it was... But I knew it wouldn't have peaked my interest for nothing. So its like occasionally I drive by and get a glimpse of something shiny. Drove by today after setting up some of my hunting equipment and for sure I had knew what it was today.
I first thought it was a Monte Carlo. Than I realised what it really was after a quick look around the drive way. Owner had a Buick sitting in spot #1 so spot # 2 was another buick of course.
So let's get to it. I set up my hunting stuff. And decided you know what time to find out. Right away I pull in. Guy did not hesitate to wave at me and give me a nice greeting not even knowing me. I guess the truck speaks volumes? Guy says thats neat I really like your truck. All I said was is that what I think it is I couldn't resist.
Engine bay is clean as new. All new clicks and whistles on the engine. Polished pulleys, polished throttle body, ported.. Bored .030 over. 2800 stall.. New 60 series turbo. Everything I'd be into.
Thing is the guy is older. My guess is 70's. Told me he got sick. He took the car apart before he got sick. He has been working slowly on getting it together. Its a real neat thing that it was what it is. I'm glad excited I met him or stopped at the least as I feel like I can help him out. Maybe give him a hand or a few hours help here and there.
He really liked the typhoon. I heard him say they cool about 3 times. I told him I have a syclone and he lit up. He told me he wanted one... ( still probably does!!!) He said he recently looked at a trailblazer ss and I told him that I recently cooked a LS camaro so don't be thrilled. He was taking the trash out so I let him go.. I'll see catch back up with him soon. Oh he said his car is a GNX.
